Sonic Drive-In — Restaurant in Danville

I never leave reviews of restaurants, but this was so bad I felt it should be reported. First, we waited in line for a very long time. When we got to the window we were handed 2 soft drinks. We told them we only ordered 1. So they took one of them back. Who knows if we actually ended up with the correct drink? Then, we were handed a bag of food. It was a bag with popcorn shrimp or chicken and some tots. That was not correct. We had 2 kids meals and a po’ boy meal. So we handed it back. Then, the kids meals were handed out. I checked them to be sure they were correct and they were. The employee notioned that we got everything. But I said, that wasn’t all of our order. We needed the po’ boy. They handed out a bag. I checked it. It was the first bag again with the popcorn shrimp or chicken. I said this is not correct. A po’ boy is a sandwich! So they took the bag back again. Then handed out a new bag. The employee apologized and said I’m sorry we have had 3 wrong orders go out because we have been busy. So at this point my husband drove away thinking we had finally gotten our food. Well I opened the bag and my tots to go with my po’ boy meal were missing!!! So my husband went back and got them. When we got home to eat, the food was absolutely awful! Inedible! I am not picky and I don’t expect quality in fast food anyway. But it was disgusting to the point that I had to throw it away! My daughter’s cheeseburger was the same way and she couldn’t eat hers either. We won’t be back! Caution to anyone going out for fast food! Who knows how many customers have touched your food...

Noisy, slow, and I got ripped off. Ordered Corn Dog w/ Mustard, Patty Melt w/ Bacon and Water. Water and Corn Dog was good. My Patty Melt w/ Bacon was 2 pieces of bread with something like cheese melted to the inside. No bacon, no burger, no onions, no sauce, no flavor, no good stuff. They were understaffed and overwhelmed. Waited 30 minutes and paid $11 and after 2 bites, I threw the rest of it away. Some punks were reeving up their toy cars their daddies bought them in the car hop spots for some reason, but that's a bit out of sonic control but just wanted to explain where the noisy part came in. I did not get a receipt for my order. I should have demanded a receipt and double checked my food before I left the drive thru window and held up all the customers behind me even more than they already were, but because I had already waited 30 minutes myself, I wasn't waiting any longer. I left, ate the corn dog and was already 10 minutes out before I realized what a pathetic excuse for a sandwich was left in my bag. Very disappointing. I have enjoyed Sonic food for a long time and stop by from time to time, but I'm seeing a very disturbing downward trend in customer service. It seems every time I stop at a sonic restaurant, my experience keeps getting worse and worse, and so I visit less and less often. If this is the service I am expected to receive, I'm not sure I can afford to spend my time or cash on Sonic...

This Sonic has to be the slowest restaurant in Danville. I wish so badly they would hire more employees. Most of the time I get friendly employees but am rarely in the drive thru less than 15 minutes and have been left forgotten about in a stall for up to 40 minutes despite pushing the button 3 times and reminding them that I was still there.

I spend over $20 a week on ice from Sonic and am there 5-7 days a week. I have a special needs daughter who won't drink enough water. But she loves the ice. I'm not sure of her name but there is a manager there who is super nice and has taken several complaints from me about employees not filling the bag up all the way and long wait times. And things have improved with that overall.

However, tonight, an employee argued with me that the bag was full. If you can grip plastic at the top, it's not full, it's missing at least 32 oz of ice, if not more. I was so angry. She said she would take it back and fill it but who wants to wait even longer for someone who got smart with you to potentially do something to your order out of spite.

If this Sonic wasn't the only restaurant in town with bagged crushed ice (except Captain D's, whose ice tastes like fish), I would not return there at all. Definitely tired of all...
