Chinatown Gourmet — Restaurant in Danville

Too long and don't wanna read? Service was flawless. Every table as soon as you walk in is set and ready with silverware all that's needed is your part in saying what drink you want.

The food? Dinner was $12.99 just got dinner buffet with tax rate of 6%, $13.77

The food was also excellent, every bit of it that I tried.

I normally don't get excited to review something but for this I am.

First off I am not native to Kentucky I come from South Carolina and have hit many of the Chinese restaurants around the area simply just because I enjoy Chinese food so much.

It also seems to be family owned and because that it is, they're able to deliver good food to the buffet for cheap and they even have a little sign that says "food is high but our price is cheap" they deliver on that, and honestly just go to an all you can eat such as this one, rather than anywhere else if you want a nice filling.

I'm thinking hands down this is the best Chinese restaurant buffet in Danville.

Small lil bit, not even the fortune cookies they give you as a courtesy when they give you your bill are stale. Usually half of the time they're stale.

Just estatic with my experience here, Im gonna hands down come back here in the coming days and future trips.

It's also got a long history of serving people and taking pride in doing so and showing that by showing about a hundred photos of their patrons right at the front door as you walk in. Worth....

The waitress ignored me as she finished sweeping the floor. As I stood there for a solid 3 minutes waiting (she was less than 5 feet away from me the entire time) she mumbled something with her back turned to me that vaguely sounded like "booth or table". Then she mumbled something else entirely unintelligible and continued sweeping. The manager walks out and nicely asks me if I had a togo order. I said no I was waiting to be seated. He asks her (Mary I think) what was wrong and she rudely snaps back at him "I TOLD HIM WHERE TO SIT!".

Now I don't know this woman but she doesn't appear to be cutout for the food service business. She totally ignored me the entire time I was eating and I only got a a straw because I had to track her down. The fact that she still has a job as a waitress astounds me.

The buffet was mediocre at best. Not the worst I've had but not even close to the best either. Food quality and waitstaff training are both sorely in need of improvement.

I'm going to give my business to one of the other food establishments nearby as long as management allows these inadequacies...

Ok I went to this place today After I got back from the zoo & went with a couple of my buddy's. And we went & ate.the food was good & the place looked clean & smelled clean but until we was about to leave so I went up to get me a plate of sushi before I left & when I was getting some sushi I noticed something crawling! & I looked closer & it was a baby cockroach crawling on the dish of sushi.i was really surprised cause I've never experienced something like this. And I showed my buddy's and they seen it to.& some other man that was beside us seen it to.i was going to go to the manager but like I said I've never experienced something like this so I just left it be and payed and left. Something should be done about this cause I think it's ridiculously disgusting and not right for people to come here and eat with bugs at the restaurant & them not no nothing about this...something should be done about this.if your reading this & you go to this place all the time we'll just letting you know they have...
