I wasn't going to leave a review because I've read previous reviews and saw that the owner/Zack likes to comment rudely when something is said that he doesn't like and I Always leave very detailed, honest reviews plus I will clap back if spoken to in any derogatory way so thread carefully with your response.
This isn't my first time eating at this establishment and it certainly won't be my last. I've enjoyed each time that I've patronized at this location because the food is very delicious. I got the pick three for $18.99(fried catfish, fried crab claws, fried tailed shrimp, frenchfries, && coleslaw w/hushpuppies), a side of oysters for $6.99, && a sweet tea for $1.99. No, I didn't eat all of it in one sitting and was able to take half of it home in a to-go box. My oldest daughter got the pick three(grilled fish, grilled shrimp, a crab cake, frenchfries, && coleslaw w/hushpuppies) and she said that it tasted okay/not enough seasoning on it. I tasted it and I could taste the herbs very well but not much salt. It was a nice size portioned amount of food as well that my daughter was able to fix my three year old grandson a plate from her plate(the second && third pictures). My youngest daughter got the pick three as well (fried catfish, fried crab claws, fried popcorn shrimp, frenchfries, && coleslaw w/hushpuppies) && a side of oysters. She said her food was delicious also. We were greeted and seated as soon as we walked in a little after 3pm. Our server, Steven, was a new employee BUT he was very attentive and took our orders with accuracy. He made a little mistake at the end of our visit, which I'm not going to go into details about, but he apologized for the mistake that I'm sure he won't make again since he's still yet learning. What I didn't like was how lemons were being cut in the next dining area out in the open by ungloved hands in picture five. I guess he was told he was supposed to be cutting them with gloves on and they put some on in picture six but the previously cut lemons with ungloved hands weren't discarded. Yes, I watched to see if they were going to throw them out but they just mixed them all together. The lemons should've been cut in a prep area in the kitchen and NOT out in the open in a dining area with customers passing by. The seventh and final picture is my receipt to show that I actually visited the...
Read moreI’ve always been a big supporter of Kravers it’s been one of our favorite local spots for years. But after the last two visits, I’m genuinely disappointed.
On our previous visit, we overheard the owner complaining to the wait staff about customers ordering po’boys and just eating the shrimp. He said it was “overpriced to just order shrimp” and that they “need to stop letting people do that.” Hearing that kind of comment from the owner about paying customers, no less was really off-putting. It created an uncomfortable atmosphere and made us feel like our business wasn’t appreciated.
Then on our most recent visit, things seemed to have gone even further downhill. They’ve started putting sauce directly on the fried green tomatoes, but the amount is minimal nowhere near enough to complement the dish. Even worse, we paid an extra $3 just to have the sauce included, and when we politely asked for a little more on the side, the waitress told us it would cost even more. That just feels like nickel-and-diming, and it left a sour taste in our mouths literally and figuratively.
To top it all off, the crab claws were overcooked and dry, which was really disappointing. We’ve always associated Kravers with good quality food, but it’s clear that the standards are slipping.
We’ve loved this place for a long time, but it’s getting harder to overlook the shift in both attitude and quality. As loyal customers, it’s disheartening to feel like the focus is no longer on great food and service, but rather on cutting corners and squeezing more out of...
Read moreThis place has decent food but the entire establishment is a joke. I called in to place an order and was place on hold for 10 mins. I hung up and called back and was placed on hold for 8 mins. I called back and was continously placed on hold after 10 tries and the girl laughing that she is placing me on hold without taking my order then an adult finally answers the phone. I explain to her that I was place on hold for an excessive amount of time and she states that they are busy and is sorry. While going inside to get my food the girl who thought it was a joke to not take my order and laugh about it tells me that she does this all the time and does not apologize. I then ask to speak to a manager. No one comes. Some lady then comes and ask if I would like to pay. I informed her that I asked for a manager. She then says I'm a manager. I explain to her the issue that the girl showed no empathy, laughed at me on the phone that she kept me on hold for 20 mins and says that's how she answers the phone. She again takes up for the girl saying she is the only one up there and is busy. I informed her that I understood that they are busy, but if you have been to this restaurant you know the line can get wrapped out in the street and this was not the case. She just didn't want to do her job that night. Kravers management failed me and the staff. I will never ever eat at this establishment again. I don't plan on recommending this place to any of my family, friends, or...
