I bought the steak fajitas, number 22. The shell to the fajita was fairly large and the flavor of the shell wasn't bad, but it was incredibly tough to chew. The filling for the fajitas was on the smaller side, especially in comparison to how large the shell was. The meat and veggies tasted overly charred, and like maybe they were cooked on a dirty(unscraped) grill, and had a faint smell of shrimp. The rice was cooked well but bland. The beans weren't bad. My husband got a number 7 and his complaint was that the amount of meat was smaller than expected and had the same complaint of the being cooked on an unscraped grill. He enjoyed both the beans and rice. We also got two beef tacos and I didn't care much for the flavor, and again, for $3 tacos they were incredibly small.
The ordering process was also a little wonky. The gal who went to take our order stated she had to go outside to take someone's order then came back on the mic and said she had to leave again to go get their cash, no big deal but odd. Then when it came time to order our food it felt like she struggled to hear us, there was minimal traffic I think it was just an issue with their equipment. There was only one car in front of us when we got there, so our wait wasn't long to get our food, maybe 10 minutes at the window. When we left there were probably 4-5 cars behind us and periodically a few cars back kept honking.
I don't feel like the value for the food is there, and overall I didn't like it enough to want to go back, or even tell someone to try it once. I think the only thing this place has going for it right now is the fact that it's open as late as it is. Honestly If I'm looking for decent priced good and fast Mexican food I'll just order Rio...
Read moreOrdered dinner for the family… $44.28 - was thinking that isn’t terrible…ordered two carne Asada burrito meal…$15.49…. Instead they gave me a few beef tacos with cheese… they were packed when I picked it up, so I figured I would call… young guy answered the phone, and said hello, your calling for Abelardos right? I said yes, I hear a lady say something to him, and he said “sorry not taking orders over the phone tonight.” I told him I have already ordered but I didn’t get the correct food….the girl gets on the phone and said “one second”—— then dead silence…. 6 minutes later she gets on the phone and said “we’re busy right now, call back in 10 minutes?” I was like so I guess I will wait until you’re done with everyone else’s order, before I get dinner? “Oh yeah, sorry about that. Thanks” and hung...
Read moreWait time: 45 minutes. Ordered: 2 carne asada burritos, chicken quesadilla, and a chicken taco. Shell on the chicken quesadilla was burned to a crisp. Not much chicken. Chicken taco was average. Burritos were the best food choice and were a 4 star rating. I believe this restaurant cooks to order so that would be the reason for the wait. Issue is it’s set up like a fast food restaurant that gives everyone the impression it will have Taco Bell wait times. My advice: get your liquor license, serve alcohol, and change into a full service dining experience. If you don’t, you will be shut down within a year or less. Other option- cook ahead and be ready to serve. You’re...
