After seeing all of the negative reviews, I wanted to stop by again and write a review giving a positive outlook.
I’m sorry, but I can’t! ‘They’ are right! This buffet was extremely disappointing!
I’ve never gone thru a buffet and only got a half filled plate! Well, I have now. Worst of all? The pan with the potatoes, corn, crayfish(?), and mussels. The VAST majority of the mussels were COMPLETELY empty shells with literally nothing in them! When I brought it to the attention of the person behind the counter, I was told that after sitting there (on the buffet line) the meat would fall out and/or people would pick thru the dish and remove the meat from the shell. While possible, I have a hard time imagining people standing at the buffet line, scraping out the meat while in the buffet line… out of nearly ALL of the shells. Even if that’s a realistic scenario, I was in the buffet shortly after it had opened (well before 4:00). There were neither that many people there yet and the dish hadn’t been sitting out that long yet! It turns my stomach to think that the dish may have just been reheated leftovers and it makes me wonder what other items were similarly treated! It also amazes me that, as they were blaming their customers (seriously?!?!?) that I had to point out that ‘they’ aren’t the ones working the buffet line… that the individuals I was speaking to were… and that they should do something about all of those empty shells. They started removing them (not the dish, but hand picking the individual shells out of the dish while it was still sitting on the buffet line) but it was also disappointing that I had to be the one to suggest that they do something about it.
Rhythm City / Robert’s: Is this really the perception that you want your customers...
Read moreStay home with a cat on your lap and order pizza! Had the Fri night buffet. 3 people, $106.00 Overall a mediocre buffet. We waited in line for over a hour. Half of the hot food was cold. Fried food looked dark and overcooked. The parm crusted Brussel spouts were so salty I couldn't eat. Metal handles on hot food for serving were so hot, I had a difficult time putting food on my plate. We were seated at 8:45. Was told at 9:15 it's last call for the buffet, as it would be shut down at 9;30. Shortly after 9:30 the manager walked through the restaurant. "We are closed folks" we felt extremely rushed. But...our waitress was fabulous! *update * To the owner that replied to my review....a good buffet is always appreciated. Here are some things that would have made my experience better. A simple sign that states "buffet stops serving at 9:30. Visible to customers walking up to the restaurant. Also signage placed with average wait time where it can be viewed from the line. Such as those portable signs on a nice stand. Find a better way to keep the food hot. And the serving utensils safe to touch. Does anyone taste the entrees and sides before served for quality? Change your fryer oil more often, or switch type. I expect higher quality food from a casino buffet than my party had. Especially for the price we paid. I read through past reviews, most are similar to mine. And go back over a year. Seems as if you are having a rough time meeting better expectations. I hope...
Read moreNice, friendly and attentive staff. Clean and spacious. Obviously convenient to the casino. But....for the price (about $30, plus $15 if you want crab legs), this was one of the worst buffets I've had. I tried many items, I only liked my salad and the kielbasa. Things were either way too bland, way over salted or just bad tasting. Bread hard as a rock. Soups terrible. Pizza atrocious. It's as if no one is taste testing anything they're making before they put it out. My wife tried other things and had similar criticisms. Granted we didn't try everything and there may have been other good things (prime rib, tilapia, etc). But we sampled enough to see what's up. And I don't like to leave bad reviews. I try to be fair and give the benefit of the doubt. But many other reviewers are saying the same thing so this isn't a one-off opinion of a bad experience. At the end of the day, you're paying $30 for a $15 buffet because of one thing.... it's tied to and co-located with the casino/hotel. And I get it. There will be an upcharge for that convenience. And we luckily won back our money at the casino (lol). But at most, this should be a $20 meal. Either that, or significantly improve the quality of food and make it worthy of $30+. Do better, Robert's! ...
