The Urban Cowboy — Restaurant in Davenport

I have been to Gilly's 3 times recently.

Excellent food. Great ambiance & friendly bartender & kitchen staff.

Pleasant crowd of folks each time.

The City of Davenport needed to plan better with their street repairs. To close off the north lane of 3rd Street, right in front of Gilly's on what was well known to be a very busy weekend is just classless on the City's part.

But then the City's lack of support for small, family owned businesses seems to be classless as well these days.

Very disappointed in the Davenport City Council right right now & in particular, the Alderwoman for the 3rd Ward (where Gilly's is located). She should have advocated better for this family owned small...

I won't be stopping in anytime soon. The strobe light in the window facing 3rd St was so bright and intense from the road it almost caused me to have a seizure. Hopefully it doesn't trigger one for someone else causing an accident!

Our good old family neighborhood bar has been acquired by a wonderful family we had great service, control of the music,wonderful drinks ,what more could you ask for !?
