I stayed with a friend after the tornado caused my house to not have water. We ordered from this papa johns together. Our order arrived missing one of our pizzas which the driver checked and assured us he would go get the missing item and return right away. Over half an hour later we had no word regarding the missing pizza so we called to inquire. The person who answered the phone picked up, and informed us they were not taking orders currently and nearly hung up before we had a chance to respond and let them know we were calling regarding our missing item from an existing order. The entire conversation the lady kept interrupting and barely let us explain our concern so it was difficult to piece together the response. She said the driver told her a pizza we already had was missing and had already come picked it up. When we informed her this was incorrect she acted like we were lying and even asked if we were sure, then cut us off to say they would remake the right pizza and have it sent to us and hung up. Twenty minutes later the same lady called us back to ask which pizza was missing. We confirmed yet again and she Said it would be made and sent out. At this point over an hour had gone by and we were missing food ordered specifically for one person in our group. Another half hour went by with no update or contact. We contacted the store again and were told the driver had left with our replacement 5-10 min ago and would be here shortly. We are located less than 5 min drive from the store, so after another 10 min we called back to inquire about the status of a replacement we had been waiting on for nearly 2 hours. The same woman from before took over the call, resumed her pattern of interrupting to say that the driver had just left with our pizza. When we asked about why we were told they had left before she denied saying the driver just left. We asked for a manager and were given to a much more helpful gentleman who said that the driver had left with our pizza 30 min previous and they had not been able to get ahold of him. This counts three conflicting stories about when our pizza was supposed to have been out for delivery. We asked for a refund because we were done waiting and dealing with rude service regarding this error and we were put on hold for 20 min. During that time the missing pizza was delivered. The remake was made incorrectly (ordered an original hand tossed and received a thin crust) and was not cut at all, it was also barely warm.
Things are busy now with the tornado causing so many customers to be without power and water. So it's past 10 already, I said my kids need to eat now because we waited over an hour just for this order. THE MANAGEMENT had the nerve to ask me "what I was doing ordering so late" & that I should know that they are busy. Excuse me? How would I know that & frankly why should i care?? That has absolutely nothing to do w/ me. Why's that my problem if YOU guys messed up my order & are busy now? I ordered online. How do you even mess up an order that's spelled out for you? The directions are in front of you! Not to mention, they don't close till one so I don't want to hear that you can't handle the demands of your job. Just quit then. & Who says stuff like that, furthermore? I can order right before close if I damn well please, they still need to deliver the CORRECT order regardless. NO EXCUSES. The only thing that should've came out of this man's mouth is "Ma'am, I'll Take Care of that for You". Period.

Read moreHorrible experience!!!! My son ordered a pizza from Papa John’s to be delivered. He called the actual store not door-dash and asked for it to be delivered. Once order was placed and paid for food was delivered by door dash (which we didn’t know that’s who they use now)and left in the middle of our driveway out in the rain!!!!!! No phone call to say food had arrived or knock at the door!!!!! Food was soaking wet, pop bag soaked, box was soft and damaged !! Todays date is 1/12/24 it has been raining all day! And what’s even worse is the fact that Papa John’s instructed my son to call door dash ????? Excuse me he didn’t call door dash to order the pizza he called Papa John’s so with that being said Papa John’s should have took responsibility and fixed things with door dash!!! And after he went through all that door dash tells him to let the store know they returned his money so they ( Papa John’s) should refund him. He then calls Papa John’s back to let them know and the guy keeps trying to tell my son there’s nothing he can do!!!! For all this trouble my son should’ve got paid for all his hard work he put in just to get a complaint rectified!!!! Just poor customer service all around the board.
