We have eaten here a handful of times since finding this hidden gem locally. All previous positive experiences were overshadowed by how absolutely God awful this last visit was. We sat down and waited a solid 15 minutes before our drink order was taken. After taking our order, we waited...and waited. We watched our server walking around, clearing tables, etc. I finally asked him if he was going to bring our drinks. He made some claim that they had to make more tea, which I know to be a lie as I watched several other servers bring tea refills to other tables. He proceeded to bring our salads, no soup. I assumed they would quickly follow. Second mistake of the night.I watched as he hung out at a table and took photos with his friends but no soup. When he came back I asked if he would be bringing soups. Another excuse about waiting on clean bowls. Finally receive soup. We had ordered our meals and a California Roll on his previous delivery of the teas. About 20 minutes after the soup, the meals start to arrive. The first 3 chicken hibachis. A few minutes later my husband’s filet. About 8 minutes later my filet arrives. After the children’s meals arrived I flagged down another waiter to inform them to forget about the California Roll. He brings it out about 5 minutes later. Sometime between the first meals delivered and mine. Normally the servings are substantial but tonight the rice portion was half of what it normally is. The only reason this review has one star is that the quality of the food was still fantastic. Possibly the worst dining experience of my entire life. Not sure I will be back, but if I do, I hope the owners have reconsidered their choice...

Go to The Peeking House instead. I read reviews before going and read that the portions were small, but decided to try it anyway. We ordered the chicken hibachi and the 8oz New York Strip. First the “salad” and “soup” came. The salad was iceberg lettuce with a few carrot strips and dressing, and the soup was beef broth. Hardly what I would consider an actual salad or soup. I don’t eat beef and there was no other option, which was very frustrating. When the entrees came it looked almost as it does in the picture that another reviewer posted, however, there was far less vegetables and meat than in their picture. It was about two tablespoons of cooked zucchini peels and onions, and that’s a generous estimate, and maybe 6 ounces of chicken. I seriously doubt that the steak was 8 oz. Both plates had more than enough rice, though. The food was delicious, but I feel like we got less meat and veggies than normal because it was the end of the night and they didn’t want to have to prep more food. At $30 for two people that’s way overpriced. The service was great. Our server answered my questions and was friendly and attentive. I regretted choosing that restaurant as soon as I saw the salad and soup. Go to the Peeking House instead. You get a plate full of meat and veggies with a side of rice, instead of a plate full of rice with a side of meat...

We have been going here for about 8 years are more. Tonight my wife called in an order and went to pick it up.When she got there the guy told her it was $51.25. She didn’t think much about it. Got out side and seen the receipt said $31.25. She went back in to said hey I didn’t get the correct change back, I gave him 3 $20’s because he told me it was $51.75 but the receipt is $31.25 so he still owes me $20. The guy that took her money was instantly rude. Told her she didn’t give him $60.00. He put in the total that she gave him was $40.00. Which was not correct I gave her $40.00, which she had in her pocket. Then she got in her purse and pulled out her wallet and gave him another $20 which made it $60.00 she gave him(remember he told her 51.25. so her change should have been $20.75 if the total was $31.25 but he only gave her $8.75 which would have been correct change if she only gave him $40 which is what he says. He told her she could come count the money drawer her self, said she could recount her money and asked our child if she was telling the truth. They did end up giving her the correct change back after a big argument and everyone eating was staring. We loved this place and the food was always good. So long story short If you go here pay attention to the price and money given. Hope no one has been taken for...
