Master Donuts of Dayton — Restaurant in Dayton

40 minute drive from my home in Chattanooga, right off the highway. You won't have to search long and hard for this wonderful place. You do not have to make side street turns, because there is a dedicated turn lane into the parking lot, with a turn arrow. Once inside you will be take aback, it seems like the selection is so small and limited, but whatever, they have plenty.

There more I browsed, the more I bought... A dozen for home, a dozen for this friend another for that friend. The variety is delicious, varied and made by husband's stomach rumble. Get this, he hardly eats sugar or carbs.. and he taste tested two donuts and a hot dog surrounded in a fluffy brioche type bread.

The help behind the counter, in the dining room, in the kitchen, all came out and greeted me, offering directions, selection ideas, and were just SUPER polite and kind

I have to say, these were the best fried dough I've EVER had. I'm not much on fruity filled donuts, I prefer plain, but when I bit into a folded pastry, I cried happy tears.

This is definitely worth the trip...

Used to like this place but walked in this morning to get a couple dozen donuts and they did not have apple fritters and the cake donuts that are usually excellent were all on one tray with coconut topped ones. The coconut topping was everywhere on the tray so every donut had some on it even though they were not supposed to. I have a severe coconut reaction meaning that I wasted an hour driving here as they refused to make more that did not have any coconut on or touching them. So they lost out on selling four dozen donuts today. What a shame service used to...

I'm thankful for this place. On Christmas morning, this was the only place open within 60 mile radius of Chattanooga for doughnuts. They were open 6-12. And the 10 dozen doughnuts i received from this place were fantastic. Glazed, all the fresh fillings, chocolate iced, blueberry, apple fritters, cinnamon rolls. All were great! Only a 40 minute drive from Chattanooga. Everyone loved all the doughnuts. Everyone was so nice, letting me try different variety.
