EDIT: I posted this same review to their Facebook page, and it was removed. Same wording and everything. I don't believe this is an abusive review, simply the truth, but it seems that Highway 67 reported my review as abusive content and then deleted it. They also removed one of my friend's ratings as well, which was also 1 star.
Don't perform here unless you get your payment in writing. A very close friend and PHENOMENAL musician performed recently at Highway 67. Unbeknownst to her, there had been some sort of incident which was weighing heavily on the patrons. That is, of course, beyond her control. Of course, she still performed and did the best she could.
When she was done, the manager pulled her and her band aside and basically called them liars. She claimed that they had never told them about their genre, and had assumed they were country. My friend has explicitly told her what she performed. The manager blamed my friend for her loss of patrons, and claimed that she drove them to the place across the street. Then the manager denied them half of the pay she had promised them.
How someone can treat another human being like this is beyond me. On top of denying pay, she claimed that my friend didn't have what it took, tried too hard, and just "didn't know the business".
If you are not a country band, don't play at Highway 67 Roadhouse Bar & Grill. And if you ARE a country band, get the entire agreement in writing, or they will go back on their word.
Never again will this place get my money, my patronage, or...
Read moreI only go to bars for karaoke. They recently brought in someone named Carol to do karaoke. I recognized her from the Hot Spot, her karaoke seemed to be always a bunch of older people singing classic country and oldies which doesn't really set the stage for much of an energetic atmosphere. Me and a couple of others stood at the bar and waited for service because the bartender was busy singing karaoke....um ok.
EDIT: What was written above was written about six months ago. We stopped in last night (11/23/21) to give it another shot because I seen they had brought in Stick's Entertainment for karaoke in a Facebook advertisement. Serious disappointment! YET ANOTHER older woman that calls herself Blondie was there with what I'm guessing is the cheapest sound system someone could probably get. Her setup was more of something I'd expect to see in the back corner of a Mexican restaurant than in an established bar and grill. Well, bar now. They need to take the grill part out of it because they aren't currently serving food. I couldn't believe that part of it either. We won't give this place another second of our time or dollar...
Read moreThe wings and burgers are amazing. All of the food I've tried has been very good. The bartenders make their drinks according to how bars in general make them as far as alcohol amounts go. Plus, they serve them with a smile on their face and a great attitude. The prices are about the same as other places. Some things are higher, some are cheaper. They have nice pool tables, decent sticks. The patio is nice. On the busier nights, they have the bar patio is open and the bartender is great. They have corn hole and other games, ya just have to ask for them. On Wednesday nights there's bike night and Thursday they have karaoke. Great bands on the weekends with $5 charge to get in, which isn't bad. There's free pool in Sundays and,I think, Tuesdays. And on Mondays during certain hours they have free pool and the jukebox is free. All the customers that I've seen are pretty nice and all of the workers are always respectful and friendly. I recommend checking this place out. And if you haven't been there in awhile, I know they've hired several new people, so check...
