The food was satisfactory. However, I ordered a Oreo Cheesecake blizzard from the store manager (an Indian female). Apparently she thought I said NY Cheesecake. While I was waiting for my blizzard to be brought out another employee asked if I was still waiting. I told her, yes, I was waiting for my Oreo cheesecake blizzard. I heard her go to the back of the store and speak to another employee. The girl said "Is that his Oreo cheesecake"? Another employee said no, it's a NY Cheesecake. The first employee said "he ordered an Oreo cheesecake". I'd already heard the mixer go off prior to that, so I assume they were well into making the NY cheesecake. Then the manager comes out with the NY cheesecake blizzard. I inform her that I had ordered an Oreo cheesecake blizzard, not a NY cheesecake blizzard. She said "Oh I thought you said NY Cheesecake". Then proceeds to hand me the NY Cheesecake blizzard. Really? No apology, or offer to make the food I ordered? When the other employee I spoke to told whoever made the blizzard that I did indeed order an Oreo cheesecake blizzard. So it seems like she tried to reduce waste by simply giving me the NY Cheesecake and see if I'd even say anything. Well, I do hope you see this review. Frankly, your customer service skills need improvement. You should put the customer first, especially when they can hear you speaking in the kitchen about their correct order and then you give them the incorrect...
Read moreIf I could give this place no stars, I would. We’re not from this area but we are staying in a hotel for Rock the South since this was the closest one left we could find. Decided to stop in after driving. The girl behind the cash register literally didn’t say anything to me except the total. Not a smile or anything towards me and the other two people I was with. I was trying to make her day better and she would just stare at me. My mom, the other girl with us, and me all made the comment that she look like she hated her life. We got a seat at our table and she brought our food out. A girl in my party said “Thank you”. The girl didn’t say anything and just turned around and walked off so I yelled behind her “You’re welcome”. She turned around and said “I said you’re welcome” and rolled her eyes. We were eating and I seen her pointing at us and talking to another server behind the counter. She doesn’t have a name tag on so I don’t even know her name. Also, our food was awful. I love Dairy Queen and it has always been one of my favorite places to eat but this place is ridiculous. If I’m ever in the area again, I won’t be...
Read moreOK in the past I have given this place some constructive criticism. It is now time for me to happily report that for the 1st time in I cannot tell you how long, the person who happened to be an African American male in his late 20s (I am pointing this out because I want to give this guy credit and I cannot for the life of me remember his name.) who took and delivered our order with such a great, happy, awesome Christmas upbeat attitude.
I love this guy he is awesome. He was encouraging and made our drive-through a fun event, was unbelievably appropriate and would have seemed friendly to whoever was in that car.
Please know that this type of guy makes a big difference in your customer's attitude about your particular Dairy Queen branch.
I will be stopping by your restaurant the very next time I go near Decatur because of this employee.
If I was still a business owner I would have offered this guy a job...
