Cool Garden Restaurant — Restaurant in Dededo Municipality

My family and I were visiting the island when Typhoon Mawar struck. With grocery stores closed or out of supply, most restaurants closed, Cool Garden was almost one of the last places open.

We had gotten there 10 minutes after their afternoon closing time and I am fairly sure the owner saw that we needed to get something to eat especially for the children. (We were staying in the hotel at the time and regular supply of food was not much available .) He allowed us in for a final order and we were so grateful. We were becoming very scared we would not be able to find something for the kids to eat. They were so very kind, and the food was so so good.

Restaurants and their owners like this one are what make a community. These small gestures of kindness absolutely make the world a better place. I can’t thank them enough for that. Even when I lived on the island before they’ve always been a delicious spot for lunch or dinner but this act of compassion hit home for me.

This place has AMAZING customer service but the food was lackluster. The beautiful lady greeted us with so much warmth when we walked in, she was so helpful and sweet when it came to ordering. We recieved our food pretty quickly and the gentleman who gave us our food read back the order and was very friendly. When we got home to eat, I noticed the wontons had little of nothing in them. I was disappointed. It was like eating fried phyllo dough. The rice was standard white sticky rice. We got broccoli and beef which was kinda slimy so I didn't eat it but my children had the ramen which looked more like yakisoba and they couldn't eat it because it was also a bit slimy. It was me and my fiancé’s first time having lunch here and overall, we loved it! We were greeted right away by a server, she handed us menus and our waters right away, and food was later served in about 10 minutes after ordering. We had great customer service and the food was great! We ordered $7.50 sweet and sour pork (came with side rice), $7.50 orange chicken, and $8.50 shrimp fried rice. If you’re looking for reasonable prices, decent portions, and delicious food, then this is the restaurant for you. Definitely...
