Almost Home (made) Ice Cream & More — Restaurant in Del Norte

Ice cream was good but when I asked for a single cherry on 2 of my kids’ 2 scoops (they feel special with it), she never said it would cost extra. Go to checkout and she tells me it’s $.99/cherry. I told her that was ridiculous considering a waffle cone was only $1 extra. She argued with me that the cherries weren’t $1, as if $.99 is so much less than $1. All I could do was laugh because there was nothing I could do considering that was the first thing the kids ate before I had an opportunity to pay. I made the wrong assumption that since we are a family of 6 and spent over $55 she’d throw in the 2 single cherries....

As a local, I'm always seeking something new. I tend to shy away from dairy as it doesn't agree with me most days. The butter pecan was really good and didn't upset my stomach. My only complaint would be the lack of customer service from one of the workers. She just seemed super uninterested in what she's doing, totally threw the vibe off when entering, to the point where i considered leaving. Glad i didn't though, the ice cream was really good. The lady who did help was super friendly and attentive. Thats the only reason for the four...

If I could give a higher rating, I absolutely would. We brought in around 50 people for ice cream, with barely aheads up to the shop and they were on top of it friendly.
