The Perfect Spot — Restaurant in DeLand

The ONLY reason that I'm giving 2 stars is because the food was decent. The service though, was awful. Our experience started with walking in the front door (not one customer anywhere) there was one girl behind the bar counting her tips. And two other women chatting. So we stood there for a few minutes with no acknowledgment while they finished their conversation. Then one of them comes over to us and says hi. Just kind of popped out of my mouth "oh you work here?" Because it was definitely not obvious by appearance or actions so I was genuinely surprised. The response that I I got was "yes I do, I know it doesn't look like it but I do".. lol ok.... So anyway, we go outside to eat, order, get served the food a while later considering there were literally no other customers it definitely took longer than expected to get our food.... So we eat without having any acknowledgment once again of refilling drinks or asking if we need anything else or anything to that extent I ended up having to go inside and find the server so that I could pay....wow... I'm standing there and see THREE signs in my immediate vision saying no dogs allowed, while there is a dog and the dining room being petted by an employee. No, it wasn't a service dog by any means, yes I know the difference..... . It really sucks because there is potential for this place to be good and for us to revisit regularly. We just moved here and are definitely looking for dining options that we can be regulars at. But with the service being this awful, and the lack of following their Own Rules there's no way we are...

This is the worst restaurant!! The food was awful and service was slow due to the fact they only had one waitress. Other customers came in after we did, ordered, and left before we were even served. When we ordered breakfast we were told they were out of bacon, and had no rye bread as advertised. We were a party of 14 and knew it would be a slight wait, but over an hour later and then only one plate finally arrives at the table is ridiculous. Eight other orders came out sporadically and then the last six finally got theirs, again sporadically, after the first eight people had finished their meals. I ordered hash browns, eggs over easy and toast. The hash browns came out on a separate plate, floating in a dark brown grease. The over-easy eggs were extremely undercooked and I was only able to pick through and eat the parts that were cooked, which didn't leave much to eat. The toast came out without butter and we were told the butter was on the way. By the time we got the butter, the toast was cold and so was the butter, making it difficult to spread on the bread. The waitress was extremely nice and friendly. She even left us a pot of coffee on the table to be able to serve ourselves when needed. The only help she had was a young boy, who appeared to be about 14 and desperately in need of a hair cut. Needless to say, we will not be going back to this restaurant EVER. How they stay in business...

Wrong name for a subpar restaurant that treats their customer based on how they looked. We spent 2 weeks in Deland so my son can do his jumps. First time hubby ordered food which I was standing next to him, great service. Waitress brought our the food to us where we were sitting outside at the picnic area so we can enjoy the views of parachutists or sky divers when they jump out of the planes. Next time, I went in by myself, same girls, and place an identical order for 3 with the blond female waitress which I have to say hello and asked for a menu. The 2 girls were just standing there doing nothing. I told her we'll be sitting outside. She asked for my name so I'm assuming she will make an announcement for me to come in to pick up the food when it's ready or she will bring it outside for us like when my husband ordered it the day before. We waited 45 minutes and I couldn't stand it anymore since this is not rush hour, restuarant was pretty empty and we were starving at this point. It was past 3 o'clock. When I asked for our food, it was sitting on the countertop, cold. She gave me the food and didn't say anything. I was caught off guard at how blatantly rude this girl was. Had I known she's this rude, I would of never tip her a freakin...
