Sabatina’s Sandwiches — Restaurant in Delaware City

Everything an authentic sandwich shop should be, but so often is not. I am used to great hoagies from the Philly area as well as South Jersey so I am definitely picky. As soon as I walked in I knew that the smell filled the air with fresh ingredients and quality. That along with a kind greeting made it already a great experience. The menu made it almost impossible to decide what to order. I love chicken cutlet so ordered one of the cutlet sandwiches with cheese and spicy mayo. The texture of the sandwich was insane. The quality of the bread and the perfectly seasoned very tender chicken was scary good. Others in the house could not get over the smell of the food so I passed the sandwich around for a bite and they could not get enough. One of the only places I've been in a while if not ever where I was tempted to go back the same day. I can honestly say I will most likely try every item on the menu over the next few months. Nothing short of amazing. I ordered a Turkey sub for me and my son and a cheesesteak for my husband. I grew up eating subs from old school deli shops. And let me tell you this took me back. My sub was made so perfectly portioned that I savored every bite and none went to waste. And the fact that they had wet crushed hot peppers as a topping was a big plus. This is definitely going to be my new favorite spot for subs. I tried a bite of my husband’s cheesesteak and it was also so very good. So if you haven’t tried this place out you need to. I had to have 2 separate people tell me about this place before I stopped in seeing that I moved out of town before they opened. I would most definitely recommend this place. Clean, fast, & YUM! First time here today. We are so thankful to have this option in Delaware City especially on Monday's when La Matesina's is closed. We ordered the jumbo Chicken Italiano add mushrooms and it was delish! We already know what we are going to get next time- The Delaware City Gobbler! The jumbo size will give you at least 4 meals for 2 people. We also got a side of fries with the spicy mayo (so good) and those were fresh, hot, and the perfect side.
