I visited the Bridgeville Don Chuy's for the first time recently, and ordered one of my favorite Mexican menu items, chicken Chimichangas. The server could not have been any more pleasant when she took my order. She was very nice. When I started eating my Chimichangas, I was honestly expecting them to be similar to the Chimichangas I've gotten at other local Mexican restaurants, but to my surprise, my chicken Chimichangas had no chicken in them. I had received beef Chimichangas. I had never eaten beef Chimichangas, so I went ahead and ate them without saying anything to anyone about the mistake. I'm not sure if my server made the mistake, or if the kitchen made the mistake. I simply didn't have the heart to complain because my server had been so nice. It really doesn't matter because they were eaten. It was the first time I've eaten anything with beef in it at a Mexican restaurant, and most likely the last. I just prefer chicken in my Mexican dishes. I'm sure the beef Chimichangas would have been wonderful to someone who likes beef Chimichangas, but that "someone" isn't me. I'll definitely go back, and hopefully they'll get my order correct. If anything, this experience confirmed that beef Chimichangas are not for me. I love a Philly cheesesteak, and I love a good sirloin or ribeye steak, but beef in Mexican food is just not for me. I...
Read moreCame to eat here twice. The first time the service was amazing and the atmosphere was nice. Our food did take a little bit but when it arrived it tasted amazing. The second time didn’t go so well. Our serve was helping those who arrived after us. We sat there with no drinks for about 30mins then we waiting another 50 mins for the food. The serve got upset that we didn’t read the menu properly and had a few questions about the meal. She seemed very frustrated and overwhelmed. She wasn’t very kind. On top of that our food wasn’t made properly. -ordered beans that never came until we left -one person didn’t get the tortillas -quesadilla didn’t have any chicken in it -the shrimp soup had little to no flavour.
I hope to give this place another try just because I know it recently opened and things were probably all...
Read moreJust a run of the mill American version Mexican food. It's perfect for this area. Unfortunately they missed sides and charged nearly 5 dollar extra to turn the 2 enchilada meal into a 3 enchilada meal and they are just not that big. Paid nearly $20 for 3 enchiladas, one ground beef, one chicken and one they decided to stuff with cojita cheese that is very salty and is not a good choice to use. Overall the service is great, but the food is meh and the prices are funny. I'll probably not be stopping back in. Friendly customer service is what saved...
