Dunkin' — Restaurant in Delaware

Visiting my grandmother and decided to grab a bagel while I ran errands, this location was closest. I didn’t wait too long to be serviced however the cashier seemed reluctant for whatever reason. I got the inclination that I was a bother for simple things like asking, “can my bagel be toasted a little longer not burnt but have a crunch,” or “may I see the medium cup for a hot chocolate?” I also asked for whipped cream and received and eye roll. My last question wasn’t Dunkin related but rather about the area. “Do you know where I’d be able to find a decent bouquet of flowers, do your groceries stores have them or should I wait till Walgreens opens?” “No” was the response. After asking the name of who had helped me (Armon or Roman, I’m unsure because again he was reluctant to literally speak, be helpful or anything) the nicest he was was sending me well wishes on my way out the door lol. This used to be a good place to get donuts; they are now understaffed and slow (for at least the last year). I usually go to the one by 896 & 301 even though it is farther because they are 2x as fast.

The other issues with this place are lack of product; (you need to get there before 6AM to guarantee you get your favorite donut) and they treat the walk in guests secondarily becasue they are measured on the time it takes to process drive through orders.

Today was the last straw; I walked in at 6:10, had to wait five minutes before someone took my order (taking care of drive through customers first). I ordered three items and a coffee. The guy gave me two items and I aksed for the third (which I already paid for). He grabbed the bag and put the item I asked for in it but took the other item out and placed it back on the shelf. I didn't notice this until I was home. Not a happy camper.

While waiting in the drive-thru, I noticed the huge sign that said “free medium drink with purchase” for new member. So I downloaded the app to take advantage of the deal. When I got to the window, I showed my app on my phone to inquire. The young lady stated that the offer only applied to coffee and not the drink that I ordered. I pointed to the sticker on their window that clearly said “free medium drink” not free medium coffee. She stood firm stating that it only applied to coffee. I paid then checked the terms and condition in the offer after I pulled out of line. It actual states, “This is a great chance to explore our drink menu, from coffee and expressos to tea and Refreshers.” There are no exclusions mentioned for the free drink and it doesn’t state that it only applies to coffee.
