Fancy Sushi — Restaurant in Delaware

I saw a new place had opened up near me so I thought I would give it a try. Online ordering was easy, although I believe they charged a convenience fee for ordering online. This would cause me to call in if I were to ever order from here again but the food was so horrible and low quality I would not trust the food. It was hands down the worst food I've tasted, the crab ragoons were way over fried, the sweet and sour sauce tasted spoiled and had visible black chunks floating in it, the garlic chicken was repulsive and over fried, the egg roll had a weird chemical/plastic after taste and the last thing I ordered, steak teriyaki was tough, dry and lacking any flavor. I am very disappointed and will not return nor would I want them to remake the food as the quality of ingredients are very low.

Edit to owners reply: quality of food is based on the actual food they use low quality products. I also was there before my food was ready so it wasn't waiting 15 minutes, and I live across the street so it was about 3 minutes door to door. This is a very sad excuse. If they can't guarantee quality for take out how can they for delivery? An order could easily be sitting there for 15 minutes for a delivery and take another 15 to get to a house. I also did no write this order the day I ordered so you wouldn't know what day it is to say...

I really want to keep this place a secret... But the food is deserving of all the love. I try a new roll every time I go, Highway 17, Volcano, Phoenix, Crazy Girl, Sweet Mango, and Sweet Heart, and each one has blown me away. The fish is consistently fresh, the flavors are exceptional, and each roll has the perfect balance.

It’s rare to find sushi this good at prices this affordable. You'd probably pay three times as much elsewhere for food that doesn’t even come close.

Plus, the staff and owners are genuinely the sweetest people. They make you feel welcome from the moment you walk in.

They do offer takeout, but trust me this is a spot you want to sit down at and enjoy. You'll be in shock when they bring you what can only be described as art on a plate.

We had an amazing experience at Fancy Sushi! Everything was delicious and plated nicely. We especially enjoyed the pork dumplings, tacos, Pink Lady roll and Alex Special roll! The atmosphere and decorations were cute. The service was wonderful, as well. She was lovely and very genuine.

We are definitely going to return and recommend this place to others!

Update: Came back already and can confirm the hibachi food is just as delicious as the sushi! Also really enjoyed the popcorn chicken strips and our salads. Nicole is absolutely amazing and we couldn't have enjoyed our time more. I can't recommend this...
