Jeff's Taproom & Grille — Restaurant in Delaware

As an APA pool league player, I’ve visited Jeff’s Taproom several times during away games. Unfortunately, each visit has been consistently disappointing. Over the last three trips, I’ve had three different servers—and each time, I’ve had to hunt them down just to order another drink. You’re not allowed to grab one from the bar yourself, which makes the lack of attentiveness even more frustrating.

Food-wise, it’s been a letdown. The rockfish was greasy and bland, and the Blue Burger I tried last time was clearly made from a frozen patty. It arrived as a sloppy mess with little flavor or care.

But the biggest issue is the condition of the pool tables. They’re so poorly maintained that if you lag to a diamond and your ball ends up near the head rail, it’ll drift a full diamond off. That kind of inconsistency makes serious play nearly impossible.

If you’re willing to travel for pool, I’d recommend heading to Milford instead. You’ll find a proper pool hall with tables that actually...

If I could give them 0 stars I would. Our waitress was very nice but we sat there for an hour waiting on a cheese steak and chicken tenders. Once the hour mark hit we told our waitress we need to leave we have 2 kids and we can’t wait any longer. She went to get the bill and said she will try to get the food taken off our order since they put it in take out boxes for us. Got the bill and nothing was deducted. I went to the manager Deborah who was HORRIBLY RUDE AND DISRESPECTFUL who told me they could only take 20 percent off the bill. We didn’t even get to eat our food. Went there for a burger while riding my motorcycle through Delmarva. Saw a sign that said "Delmarva's Best Burger" and decided to try it out. The burger was very good, I don't know about the best, BUT Very Good! On the other hand the bartender was wonderful, friendly, and attentive. Even at 1pm on a Friday there was a full bar of people ordering drinks and food. She handled everything like a pro. Now on to possibly the best part of Jeff's Taproom. The décor is straight out of the past, and I mean that in the best possible way. Jeff's reminds me of what a old time bar used to look like in the late 70's/ early 80's.
