I’ve been a loyal customer for years and have always enjoyed the breakfast sandwiches here—they’ve consistently been fresh, tasty, and well-made. Unfortunately, today’s experience was a major disappointment. I ordered my usual sandwich with extra meat, which cost $8.49, but what I received was far from the quality I’ve come to expect. The ham was severely overcooked—dry and tough, almost like cardboard—and overwhelmingly salty. It was nearly inedible. I also noticed a new staff member preparing the food, someone I hadn’t seen before, which might explain the inconsistency. This visit left me so dissatisfied that I’m honestly reconsidering returning to this location at all. I hope this was just a one-off issue, but it was disappointing enough to make me hesitate about coming back.

When I called to order a pizza they were honest about the size and sugested other places where I could get more buck for my money. She wasn't trging to loose the sale but was trying to be honest. That is rare and I valued it very much. I got a few slices of pizza, fries and a chicken cheesesteak. It was pretty good. For taste I will give 4 stars honesty is 5 stars!

This place can’t be beat for value and service. The sandwiches are fresh, big, and priced right. Their breakfast sandwiches are second to none. Don’t eat pork? They have beef and turkey options available on their breakfast meats.

Let's start by talking about how bad the service is in here - You walk in and are essentially ignored by employees - not even a hello nor eye contact! There are 3 to 4 employees on the clock at any given time that I have been in the store... there are 2 to 3 in the deli at any given time with 1 on the grill and 1 to 2 just standing around or watching the 1 on the grill... no one taking orders... no one on the slicer... I have begun to walk out after waiting 5 to 10 minutes to place a lunchmeat order, especially with 3 or fewer other customers in the store - otherwise, you are almost guaranteed to be waiting 20 to 30 minutes to place the order - this is why I have almost completely stopped coming to this location. Also to note, there is no one running the register about 95% of the time except to check out a deli order. It's a Deli... you should have 1 person at the register or near the register at most times. You should have 1 person on the grill. You should have 1-2 person(s) taking orders and or doing lunchmeat. I remember as a kid, you could go into Waltz Deli in Elsmere (went out of business in the late 90's) and no matter how busy it was, you were in and out in 5 to 10 minutes depending on what you ordered... and usually it was only 2, sometimes 3 people on the clock. Now, I want to go on to my next issue - How they slice the liverwurst... this is the only place where they take the wrapper off and hand slice it. I mean, come on, leave the wrapper on and run it through the slicer like just about every other deli in the state... this stuff is almost impossible to get the slices apart without the wrapper and the slices are always way too thick. To note: I went to get lunchmeat today, there was a guy in front of me being ignored who hadn't put his order in yet, and I was completely ignored. You had 2 employees standing around doing nothing behind the deli counter, one running the grill, and no one at the register, again. There were 2 people who placed orders for sandwiches/grill items. This is just unacceptable. Like stated, I am no longer waiting more than 5 minutes to place my order, especially if I'm being ignored by employees. After 5 minutes, I am walking out, like I did today. The Countrymaid down the road is much faster and friendlier - it's a shame they are closed until the 14th! I was hoping not to have to go to the grocery store for...

I placed an order today around 1 pm. I couldn't get there right away because things came up. Around 3 I got in there. They told me the 4 subs would be ready in about 20-25 minutes. When I have ordered subs before at another Country Maid, they put them in the case to keep cool. I was shocked to see that the subs were left on top of the case along with two packs of sliced cheese I had asked for. At least an hour and a half!! When I placed the order, she read it all back to me to ensure accuracy. My oldest granddaughter told me hers was the driest tuna sub she ever had, hardly any mayo, and cheese placed on top instead of actually in the sub. My middle granddaughter said there were tomatoes on hers that she didn't ask for, and missing the lettuce and sweet peppers. My grandson said his chicken salad sub was very good but again, the cheese was stuck on top instead of in the sub. Posting this now since 4th person hasn't eaten theirs yet. Just very unhappy about the inaccuracies, dryness of the tuna sub, cheese not IN the sub. Plus they leave your food out. UPDATE: The fourth sub was...
