Rivera Taco Express — Restaurant in Delaware

This was the first time I ate at Rivera Taco Express. I have noticed there food truck on route 273. Let me tell you I’ve learned not to judge a book by its cover. My mother always would say to me “You shouldn’t never knock until you’ve tried it!”So I did just that, all of the things I wouldn’t eat due to their appearance I went back and tried them. I’m not saying everything I went back to try was good. There were things I liked very well & there were things I stand clear of. So I’ve tried eating at other food trucks & they were just ok! Until I visited Rivera’s Taco Express my views on food trucks have completely changed & for the better. I ordered 8 cow tongue tacos & 3 steak tacos. I ordered only the 3 steak tacos for myself beings all the times I had steak tacos I didn’t eat them I ended up throwing them away. I use to visit frequently 3-5 days a week just to get their tongue & steak tacos. You could tell they put a lot love into preparing their foods. Everything was very flavorful, seasoned to perfection, tender & juicy with nice sized portions for what they charged. However over time things weren’t quite the same whereas my 3-5 times a week visits eventually now are nonexistent. I just knew I would not find another place like that again. That’s until my friend suggested Rivera’s Taco Express, now mind you I’ve passed this place a thousand times or if not more. Never giving a second glance, I could really kick myself for not noticing it sooner! Everything was “AMAZING”my only issue with Rivera’s is the location on route 273 you have to keep your eyes peeled for them & there’s very little parking. Please don’t let that stop you from visiting their establishment. I can only speak about my experience & opinions but I don’t mind voicing my thoughts and opinions but don’t let me influence you. This was my second time here and once again everything was hot, fresh, and really good. Unfortunately my order didn’t go so well. I ordered 2 each of 4 different tacos. One set of 4 was with cheese on the side and the other set of 4 included cheese on the tacos. I confirmed twice when I ordered this would have a total of 8 tacos. I waited patiently for 20 minutes and when I was given the order I asked again if this was 8 tacos. I was told yes. I arrived home a few minutes later to find 4 tacos. I called and was told they thought I ordered 4. I returned after ordering another 4 as this set was for me. Great tacos. Not so great...

I just really enjoy this location. The tacos are so dang on delicious. Once i found out they carried Birria tacos i was immediately down. So now it's the only thing i get. I am posting this because today my tacos are absolutely delicious. I think they are doing something different with the meat because it has mee kick to it. And baby they are stuffing these tacos.
