Las Fuentes Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in Demopolis

I only gave this place a 3 star rating because of the decor and the waitress letting me try the guacamole to see if I would like it. Everything is was well under 3 for me. Let’s start with the food that was ordered, we wanted nachos with cheese only, well they were molded to the plate. They were solid and in one big piece. I think one of waitresses walking by was disturbed by how they looked as well so she offered us a cheese dip. Not sure what we needed to do with the dip because the chips were not even an option. Well I asked for another basket of chips, we did get those. The food we ordered had absolutely no seasoning. I will say it was visually appealing. Let me get back to the scoop of guacamole I got to sample, well it was pretty good but the waitress who brought never came back to see if I liked it and if I wanted to place an order for it. Needless to say, I’m not sure that I will frequent this place again. We were also seated next to the rest room so if you all decide to go, please ask for a seat change if you get near the rest room. Very enjoyable tex-mex dinner! We’ve just moved from south Texas so it had been a while since we had quality, truly delicious Mexican food. Las Fuentes was a refreshing visit to remember the some of our favorite tex-mex restaurants. These were the best Chile rellenos I’ve had in a long time. The salsa tasted very fresh and not too garlic-y or heavy in one particular flavor. The queso was quite flavorful and made from quality cheese. My wife said she enjoyed her enchilada plate very much. The pico de gallo also had a nice balance of flavors and it was very fresh as well. For an added treat there was a Mariachi Band there that night going from table to table. Not annoying, very pleasant and fun. A truly great surprise on our way through town. Service was outstanding as well. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

I had went to this place on January the 7th 2021, I had so many high expectations of this place. You had people walking around with no mask. I felt very unsafe in there and when they gave me my food they told me 15 to 20 minutes but it really took about 45 minutes. When I went in there I was still waiting on my order. I had ordered fried ice cream. The fried ice cream had frosted flakes around it. Would like an elephant ear and chocolate syrup drizzled on top with caramel on top it was okay but I also bought a taco salad the meat was not seasoned and the meat tastes burnt. I'm so disappointed in this place because as I was eating my food I bought a taco salad and something else and mixed it all together had to put salt and pepper in it no season at all just nasty.then as I warm my food up at night to refreshing it up to eat it with mine chips with the salsa that they gave me with the taco salad I found the piece of plastic in my food I do not recommend this restaurant for anybody please do not go to this restaurant cuz this is not no good service and I...
