McDonald's — Restaurant in Denton

It's late and we wanted something quick to eat. So against my better judgment, we ended up at mcdonalds in denton. There's 2 cars in the 1st lane but only 1 in the 2nd lane so naturally I pull into the 2nd lane. The guy in front of me orders and pulls up. I pull up to order when it's my turn and wait...and wait...and wait...and wait some more. At least 3 other cars go through in the 1st lane before I decide to park and go inside. I ask for the manager, explain the situation and finally order. The manager goes to give us our food and says, sorry we ran out of apple pies. What the what??? Seriously, like you didn't know this and now I have ordered and paid for said apple pie to find out there are no apple pies, all after the cluster I just experienced in the drive thru??? Needless to say, when it is late and we are looking for something quick to eat again, we will NOT be choosing mcdonalds...

This McDonald's has been renovated and brought into the 21st century. Self-serve ordering kiosks allow you to order and pay without needing to interact with staff, if that's your thing. Ostensibly this also allows the order-by-app and pick up in-store as well. The food, at least breakfasts, come out nice and hot. The fresh beef used in the quarter pound burgers as well as their "artisan" series is a welcome change. These are cooked when you order, not sitting around precooked in a heating drawer, from a frozen patty. Not much more needs to be said about the typical McDonald's, the food is mostly uniform among every franchise in North America, the differences being in the kitchen staff knowing how much to prepare at a given time, and how clean and organized the restaurants are kept. This one seems to be well run, by now the staff should have adapted to the new changes to the store...

If I could give this establishment 0 stars I would. We went through the drive thru and upon receiving my meal, the nuggets were old and not crispy at all. The sweet tea tasted like straight up concentrate. I always get McDonald’s sweet tea and I know it’s supposed to be sweet, obviously, but even the color was like a dark brown as if they didn’t cut it with the water. I decided that since it was off, I would go inside to get a coke. I walked in and immediately the manager, Samantha, said to her coworker “mhmm look, look” while looking directly at me. I was confused by the comment. When I asked for a coke instead she asked what was wrong with my drink and when I told her the issue she rudely laughed/scoffed and said “well you ordered a sweet tea didn’t you?” The point was that it was very obviously not made correctly and then she proceeded to be...
