Long review with updates: Great crepes! The ham & cheese is FANTASTIC. The iced coffee is pretty good, but the hot coffee is where it's at. Their pastries are from local businesses as well.
It seemed expensive at first glance, but the amount of time put into the crepe was well worth the wait. And the thing was HUGE. I ate there at 9:00, and it kept me full enough to skip lunch. It beats a pre-made breakfast any day.
Apparently the owner is Moroccan, and wanted to bring a French flavor into the area. I'm so glad he did, because it's a great fit for the area (right on the Aurora/Denver border).
$9.00 for the crepe and an iced coffee (which seemed a bit pricey for me at first), but what an awesome, filling breakfast! Definitely worth the money. $4.75 for a large cappuccino, which is what you'll spend at any coffee shop or cafe, but much better quality. Get it to go if you don't have time to linger.
The girl on staff was very nice and welcoming, and we chatted about the place for a bit. She did a great job at explaining all of the meals and drinks.
I'll be back, and next time I'll be bringing my wife to try their Louisiana-style quiche.
UPDATE: Made a second trip with my wife, and tried the salmon, spinach and manchego cheese crepe. It came with a lovely lemon herb drizzle. Got a hot Cafe Latte this time, and this is some FANTASTIC coffee. No need for sugar, properly foamed milk. The employees really know how to make a proper cup. It'll take 5 minutes or so to make it (this isn't a Starbucks-type business), but you'll be glad you waited. I think this might become a daily stop for me. No more sub-par drivethru niche drinks with pumpkin spice. I want real coffee.
Next time around, Chocolate-Strawberry...
Read moreI came here a few years ago and I had the salmon crepe dish. I suggested at that point that it should have some sort of sauce with it, salmon is a dry dish. I came here today several years later and nothing had changed. They did not take my suggestion. I asked if they had some sort of cream cheese, sour cream, anything to accompany the dish and they suggested only pesto. I told the cashier/server I would try the pesto, 15 minutes later we had to ask where the pesto was to which she replied "oh it wasnt clear if you wanted it", my husband heard me clearly even with an earbud on. My husband ended up eating half my dish as I could not eat the rest. At which point I started feeling I'll and wanting to throw up. Not sure if it was the dish or the chai latte (which was honestly the only good thing I had here). I'm lactose intolerant so I cannot have milk, I ordered with Soy milk but something wasn't sitting right so who knows. My husband had the Belgian waffle and asked for syrup to which they replied would be $1.50 extra. Who does that? Perhaps if your business did better you would not have to charge for condiments and might be able to expand itself. Won't be coming here again. We had the Nutella and banana crepe for dessert, way too much Nutella and bananas were too soft. Way too expensive for the quality of food and service. Hopefully you take this review to heart to improve the...
Read moreI had a delightful breakfast at Café Ciboulette in southeastern Denver this morning with my boyfriend, and it was an experience worth sharing. We arrived at 8:30 am, just after they opened, so our food was incredibly fresh, warm, and oh-so-delicious.
We started our morning with an assortment of macarons, which were beautifully crafted and melted in our mouths. I indulged in a strawberry and Nutella crepe with caramel drizzle and powdered sugar on top—absolutely heavenly! My boyfriend opted for a classic Belgian waffle, perfectly crispy and served with butter and syrup.
The pesto panini we shared was a standout, featuring chunks of fresh tomato and mozzarella that created a perfect blend of flavors. To round out our breakfast, we tried the spinach artichoke quiche. It was warm, fluffy, and had a wonderfully crispy crust—truly to die for!
Café Ciboulette has become a cherished spot for those rare, sleepy mornings when I can afford a bit of indulgence. I initially discovered this gem when I lived off E Mississippi Ave. Even now, living near Union Station, I gladly make the 20+ minute drive to enjoy their incredible food whenever I can.
If you’re in southeast Denver and looking for a cozy breakfast spot with delicious food and a welcoming atmosphere, Café Ciboulette is a must-visit. Highly...
