Hashi Asian Cuisine — Restaurant in Derby

Ordered 2 kani salads, waitress came back with one. Had to put in order for another. Ordered 3 sushi rolls. Everything we ordered waitress asked that I point to it in the menu. Then took forever to get my card back after paying for the check. I watched other waitstaff & they seemed to be better I just think ours may have been new to waitressing or her first job maybe. Kani salad was ok, but sushi was so disappointing and actually not very good to the point of making us sick that we could not finish and left most of it on the plate. We are not talking cali rolls either. All specialty rolls with raw fish. If you are a true sushi lover go somewhere else trust me. My initial review of Hashi in Derby would have been 5 stars - when they first opened their food was amazing and the combination platters were unique with wonton soup, egg rolls, and crab Rangoon's, plus the entrée and rice each served in their own compartments of the take out dish. Their drunken noodles were also out of this world. Sadly, the last two times we ordered from Hashi, the uniqueness was gone - they now serve the same style of combination platters as every other Asian restaurant in the area - no more soup & crab Rangoon's and the entree and rice are now mushed together in a single compartment container. For a town the size of Derby that doesn’t have a lot of Asian options, this is a GREAT place to choose. They have a Chinese, Japanese, and Thai menu. My wife and I have tried a few of their options and we both agree, the sushi here is fantastic. It’s good quality, with a generous amount of seafood meat and little rice. Often times, restaurants try to fool you with affordable sushi by giving you a ton of rice. But here, they hook you up. The wonton soup here is excellent as is mosh of the Chinese dishes we tried.
