Customer Service has never been the greatest but we didn’t mind as we just came for the food. My family has made it a habit on coming once a month and we enjoyed it. But how today’s situation was handled we will not be returning. We always wait to order pancakes after we eat our other dishes and while eating my mom pulled out a hair with the rest of her pancake coming out. My mom didn’t freak out she works in the food business too and said it happens. My mom just asked one of the ladies if she could get it switched out for a new pancake. And the lady responded with “are you sure it’s our hair?” (We all have curly hair. And this was a straight piece of hair.) We were stunned at the response and told her it’s okay. We don’t need an exchange we will just leave. As my mom finished her latte to leave. There was another hair stuck to the inside of the cup. And this just bugged us more. My mom got up to show her the cup and told her quietly with her staff that it was her comment was rude, and unprofessional. We spent a good amount of money here, it’s not cheap. We didn’t ask for a refund....
Read moreWe order from the counter. This is a Mexican Cafe. Has some American foods. I ordered breakfast. All American came with 2 eggs, 3 slices of thin bacon, re-heated American fries, and 1 slice of white toast. This was $11. My daughter ordered the same. And we shared a full order of pancakes. Which were small hand sized. 3 for $6. 1 donut is $2.50. I had a black coffee, $2.50. Carmel latte, $5.85. Which was way to hot to even drink, with barely any flavor. Our meal was $41.58.
The eggs were medium or small. The pancakes were under done. The syrup at the table was probably sugar free due to its excessive sweetness, and mildly Maple.
It's good to have an eatery on the east side! But this place is less of a family dining, and more of another coffee shop, with Mexican foods.... we HAVE many places for the great Mexican foods all over the East side!! Another???
We won't be back. Prices, and choices don't align with the need, or what we were looking for.
We will go back to Papa...
Read moreMediocre brunch tbh, need to cut less corners and focus on execution and presentation, prices don't reflect what you get unfortunately. Either prices need to drop or quality and preparation needs to step up. Too many use of jar sauces/prepackaged goods.
You guys need to weigh out your servings, work on using whole ingredients, and clean up your prep/presentation. I wanted to give you guys the benefit of my doubts when I saw the messy kitchen...
I had the carnitas with salsa verde Salsa Verde tasted straight from the jar and probably received 3ozs of meat. (Generous estimate) Rice was nuked in the microwave (prepackaged) and beans were a watery mess.
Hot chocolate was basically hot cocoa mix from a packet ($6)...
Go to Homegrown for brunch use that as a baseline for your...
