Long time local. My first experience was not the best, hereās why. My father brought home quite a bit of treats. I believe about 5 cookies. two different lemon cookies, a sāmores, a red velvet (if I recall correctly), and chocolate chip. He also brought home a muffin and a cinnamon roll. Close to $40/50. However, I was NOT there personally so I cannot speak on service and atmosphere. Hence the the neutral review for service and atmosphere. The cookies though, different story. Each one was a bit dryer than the next, and taste mostly of flour and some chocolate (when it comes to the sāmores and chocolate chip). Im not the biggest fan of lemon in general but I went into these ones with an open mind. I believe one had powdered sugar on it. Which in turn made it a little hard to get down. Although the lemon taste was there and seemed to pop more than the other 3 cookies. It still wasnāt a favorite of mine. When I think of red velvet, I think of a more ācakeyā consistency so to speak. Which we did not receive, more of a crumbly texture than anything. I didnāt try the muffin, but I DID try the cinnamon roll. As someone who will drop every other pastry/treat for a cinnamon roll I was excited. Until I wasnāt, the icing wasnāt very sweet and had a thicker texture compared to a āglazeā youād see at Cinnabon, or maybe even the local spot in Joshua Tree, The Dez. Overall, I wasnāt stoked, nor was I extremely disappointed as I had heard some similar responses from others in town. The reviews here online Iām assuming are all people who may have just gone on a better day than my father did. Or they havenāt tried any of the other bakers around. Whether they be in 29, or local vendors at different markets and pop ups, etc. Overall, a solid 3.2/5. Will I go back? Probably not, but if someone offered me a cookie from there they purchased on their own, would I turn it down? Eh, thereās a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI saw a quick little post about this place back in August and on their soft opening. Spent hours there just talking and enjoying the yummy cookies. From that point on I was hooked! I absolutely love the owner! Chris is truly an amazing human being. I've gotten to know him on a personal level. Such a hard working man it's crazy. The whole staff are awesome. Now that he's expanding his menu. Goes to show how talented he is. His chocolate chip cookies are my go to. I live in 29 Palms and always willing to go outta my way to visit the shop. I love the variety of cookies and baked goods. Their breads are so yummy! The cinnamon rolls are so flavorful and sweet. I had the jalepeno ham and cheese croissant and my eyes rolled into the back of my head with how delicious it was! Recently had the chocolate covered strawberries and the chocolate used was so rich! Best part is it's kid friendly. He's always got crayons, coloring pages, and books for the kiddos to enjoy. Overall I absolutely...
