My girlfriend and I recently visited Windmill Market while driving between Palm Springs and Morongo. We were both craving something sweet, so we decided to try their date shakes. We ordered two medium-sized shakes, and they were both delicious! The shakes were thick and creamy, and they had a rich, date flavor. We also really enjoyed the patio at Windmill Market. It is a very peaceful and serene place to sit and enjoy your food. The patio has a bit of a Hawaiian and French vibe, and it is decorated with several mystical altars. Some of the altars are dedicated to angels, fairies, and animals, such as turtles, cats, and owls. We really enjoyed our experience at Windmill Market, and we would definitely recommend it to others.
Here are some more details about the date shakes and the patio:

I would come in everyday for a date shake if the gal with the dark hair always in a bun and big eyes was maybe a little nicer or maybe if she just quit all together so people like me could enjoy ordering and enjoy the rest of the friendly staff!! I honestly don't know if she's a owner and can't be fired but I'm thinking she just might' be someone related to the owner either way girl get off urself stop turning your nose up and maybe smile to the people whom bring u money to stay open!! The rest of the dtaff are awesome and great but the big eyed bad attitude bun lady is bad news and not worth making ur day bad by her infections...

We wanted to experience one of those famous date shakes, so based on reviews, we pulled up to this quaint little building on a corner road and went inside. Besides offering standard and not-so-standard grocery store items, they have a takeout counter for some pretty awesome lunch dishes. We did order the date shake - it lived up to its rep ππΌ. We also decided that we were hungry and ordered a pastrami sandwich and one of their lunch specials - fettuccine Alfredo with chicken. Excellent quality and generous portions. There is a little garden oasis in their backyard that diners can sit in and enjoy - complete with flowers, ornaments, patio chairs and tables and a lovely lime tree to provide shade. Staff were great. Lucky Palm Springs...
