If you are looking for a small business that is the most community oriented, affordable, and kid friendly with the absolute BEST coffee.. Big Door Coffee House is the place to be. Every single staff member will always greet you with a smile and a “Welcome to Big Door Coffee House!”

This small business is set out to always support the community, from the percentage of proceeds of their most popular drink “Better Together” going toward unpaid balances on school lunch accounts to their Pay It Forward board that have cards paid for in advance to cover a drink of your choice if they fit you. (Police, EMS, Veterans, Tired Mom, Teacher, you name it and it has probably been up there!)

Their menu is very affordable, with many alternate options to fit your wants or dietary needs. They also serve a variety of teas, snacks, baked goods and protein options. There really is something here for everyone!

I attached a picture here of Amy with my oldest daughter, enjoying a game of Old Maid while I enjoyed my coffee. Amy, Jason and the rest of the Big Door Coffee House staff treat every child that comes by with so much respect, and treat them as if they were their own. My girls favorite part of the day is getting to visit everyone and enjoy their kids play area and kid friendly drink options.

The Big Door Coffee House is aptly named—not just for its charming physical door, but for the incredibly welcoming, cozy atmosphere that greets you the moment you step inside. That door needs to be big to accommodate all the regulars, coffee explorers, and wanderers who are lucky enough to find their way to this gem tucked along the railroad in Desloge.

The customer service? Beyond 5 stars. I watched a customer ahead of me order a drink, and the barista told them, “Taste it—if it’s not right, we’ll make you another.” That kind of care and attention is rare and priceless.

I ordered the Hot Gigi, and it was perfection—silky, flavorful, and soul-soothing.

They set out to create a coffee house—not just a shop with a drive-thru—and they absolutely nailed it. It’s a space to gather, connect, and slow down.

Bring a book and find a cozy nook, or grab your friends and celebrate life together. Either way, this is a must-stop spot that warms more than just your cup. ☕️❤️

They offer some sweet treats, too. Breads and cake pops :) And.. the positive vibes board...oh my soul.

Extremely great people!! They are so friendly and so pleasant to talk to! If you live anywhere in St Francois county or near STL this is a must-see spot. I would drive WELL out of my way for their specialty drinks, but I’m lucky enough to live around the corner. They charge way less than they could for their drinks as well. I find myself paying more than DOUBLE for similar drinks at large chain coffee shops. Near a big city? Four times as much! If you’re looking for a new place to get delicious coffee or whatever, I highly recommend this spot.
