so I stood at the counter for a bit when I walked in about 3 PM so it was not busy at all, waited for someone to come to pay. Got a plate of salad and all good, then I went up to get food and when I got back, they had cleared off my table. I left the plate of food on the table and walked out. This is the third time it has happened, I left a bad review for Moorhead as their staff were intentionally nasty. In Wadena Pizza Ranch same thing, but I didn't leave a bad review sense. The reason for the bad review here is that their was several (more than 5) tables that had not been cleared when I got their and when I left their was at least some of those tables still not cleared. To avoid this sense it happened before, I left three unopened butters on a fresh napkin, half glass of soda, silverware setting lined up on another fresh napkin and pushed the salad plate to the other side of the table with crumpled napkins on it so they would know I was coming back. Nop, cleared it all anyways, Pizza ranch has to relax clearing tables. Question is do they want us to stop eating and leave or are they just that rummy? Why did they clear my table and leave others dirty from before I ever arrived, I take it as being pushed out. that was my last trip to any Pizza Ranch.
The food (at least the salad, not sure about the rest) was very good.
To be totally fair, same as the other times I left the full plate of food on the table and walked out. I did not ask for management or complain and never management any chance to...
Read moreThis was, hands down, the worst restaurant experience I have ever had. My mom, son, and I visited for lunch, and from the moment we arrived, it was disappointing.
We went straight to the buffet, only to find the salad bar completely empty—just crumbs left in every container. The chicken buffet was just as bad, with absolutely no chicken available, only mashed potatoes and stuffing. The pizza buffet was nearly empty as well, and the only option was a pizza covered in jalapeños and hot sauce. It was a Tuesday, which is supposed to be kids eat free with the purchase of an adult buffet, yet there wasn’t a single kid-friendly food option available. Why would you only have spicy pizza on a kids’ day? It makes no sense.
To make matters worse, the entire place was clearly understaffed. The poor lady at the register was trying to run the front counter and refill the buffet by herself. We waited about 30-40 minutes before new pizzas finally came out and we were able to eat.
After our meal, we went to play games and won a bunch of tickets, but there was no one working the prize counter. We had to wait almost 20 minutes just to cash in our tickets.
We’ve had good experiences at Pizza Ranch in the past, but this visit was a complete disaster. I sincerely hope the General Manager takes this seriously and reaches out to make things right. Until then, this review stands as a reflection of how far below expectations...
Read more"SLIMY SALAD" I drove for an hour to take my family out for super. The kids like pizza, but I have a dairy allergy, and I also should stay away from fried foods because of my heart. This was a nice place where I could get a salad and they could have their pizza. I drove an hour each way, paid for the meals, and still had to drive all the way back home and make a sandwich for myself because the salad bar was full of SLIMY salad. And they wouldn't change it. I spoke with 3 people. Oh, they will fix it, they said. I waited and waited. My whole family was done and ready to leave, but no freash salad....
I will never eat there or anywhere in Detroit Lakes again. I drove 2 hours and it cost me way over $100 not to get supper.
This place also took all summer to fix their ice cream machine... another rip off from the other times we visited. This was the last straw. This place is going downhill fast. Save your money. Eat...
