I thought Subway Sandwich Shops Pride Themselves for serving fresh food? We stopped at the Subway by Murphy U.S.A. gas station, in Detroit Lakes, where the old Taco Johns used to be, we usually go to a different location about once a week, but we were in this area, so we ordered 3 foot long sandwiches and 2 six inch sandwiches for everyone at home, we got home about 10 minutes later, The Bread was all dried out and crumbly, it was also rock hard, some of us could not even bite into it. it tasted kind of like it was starting to mold, The veggies, lettuce, onions, peppers cheese etc. were room temperature warm, and slimy. The guy working kept asking over and over, what goes on what sandwich, I finally told him to just do them one at a time, instead of asking about all 5 of them at once, then he could not find a sharpie marker anywhere in the store to mark them with which one is which, he never asked us if we wanted a receipt, so when we asked him for one, he said he already closed out the transaction, and we would have to wait for the other employee to come back from a 20 minute break, we told him to just forget it, will never go to that...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy husband and I went here for lunch on our day off from work. We each got a footlong meal. The service was kind of slow. When we walked in it took about 30 seconds for anybody to come out from the back and greet us. There was more than one employee working. No customers in the drive thru or the store. They correctly made our sandwiches as we asked. The quality of the meat was very low. The bread was a little dry. And some of the veggies looked like they were possibly turning over soon. I would have gave it a higher ranking but they got a two-star since two foot long meals cost $33 plus tax for some reason. So they get a two-star ranking because I was expecting to spend $25 not $35 on two subs. That price is a little bit outrageous and ridiculous for some bread, sandwich meat, and vegetables. I could have gotten a footlong from the Walmart...

Went there about 9pm on a Friday night. Was going to go inside but the doors were locked even though it said they were open till 10pm. There was no sign indicating the lobby was closed. The DT was open, though. After sitting in DT for a few minutes waiting for the person ahead of us to finish being helped,, we noticed there was a big green arrow under the open sign and it was pointing towards the DT. Is this supose to tell customers only DT is open? I feel there should be a sign on the door so customers know...
