Now, i left a review previously about how this restaurant never goes according to their hours on google but instead are open whenever they want to be open before but now i am going to mention a reoccurring issue. So i am a frequent customer (I at least order from this place 2x a week) at this place due to their swai dinner. I usually get a swai dinner with a side of mac & cheese with yams. So yesterday I ordered this exact same dinner and upon opening and tasting the mac & cheese, it was dry (this is the 3rd time i’ve had dry/old mac & cheese from this restaurant) and after eating the yams, there were 2 rice like objects in my yams. So like i do normally when this restaurant messes up my food, I call and let them know. The lady on the phone told me I could come back in to get a large fresh mac & cheese. (the workers here are very nice!) so I bring in the whole container to show them that i hadn’t ate any of the messed up food (minus the fish because I was hungry and had a very long day at work). So they take the container back and remake it. So I get back home after having to drive ALLLL the way back there and when i say this remake of food was worst then the food they gave me initially. It tasted horrible!! I was not mad, but just disappointed because I love this place and the way they have messed up on my order 4x in one month just persuaded me to no longer purchase from this...
Read moreA friend and I ended up having lunch at Honey's yesterday after discovering that our first choice venue had no working restrooms (bummer). Honey's was just a few blocks away and looked homey. It was. The friendliness started the moment we walked in and were greeted by a couple of women both waiting for separate take-out orders. They willingly shared their favorite dishes with us, and made lots of suggestions. Though they had seating for about 20, we were the only people dining in, but we watched a dozen or more people come in to pick up their take-out orders while we were there.
The manager, Lynn, took our orders at the window and then seated us and provided table service for the rest of the meal. We sampled quite a few things: the chicken and waffles were perfection, the hand-cut fries were great. Perch dinner with home-made mashed potatoes and homemade tartar sauce was also pretty great. Even the side salad was far better than you usually get at similar places, and came with their own custom ranch dressing, which was about 100x better than traditional ranch. Lynn checked on us often to we if we needed anything, and the cook also came by the table to make sure we were enjoying everything. The whole experience was great, and we will absolutely...
Read moreBecause Google does not give the option to have multiple reviews I'm adding to the existing one I had 5 years ago. I had their fry batter salmon and it was very good. Excellent flavor and taste throughout the entire salmon. It was so good, it did not make it home unfortunately. Additionally, the shrimp was excellent. I highly recommend it. And don't get me started on their mashed potatoes with a little lumps in it which add a certain flavor, like how 'mom' used to make (home style). Well done!! The greens was well seasoned, a little bit on the salty side but very tasty.
This is a nice alternative to the Eatery across the street. Warm and welcome.
Two thumbs up to the Cook and the establishment. I will be coming back when I'm in town. 5 years ago according to Google below
The food was nice and very tasty. This is one of those mom-and-pop type places. There's lots to select and I had a combination of Fish and Chicken. The shrimp could have been a big bigger but it was very tasty. The fries are really awesome and well seasoned. I do highly...
