My mom always said,”If you don’t have something good to say, say nothing”... However I have to inform- so being from Ohio, I’m not too familiar with the “hot spots” for soul food, but an acquaintance I know used to eat here sometimes daily. I said I’d try it one day, and one day I tried. Smh. Upon entering it smelled like dirt and old fryer grease. That would usually make me turn and run instantly lol, but again my friend ate here so I figured I’d go for it. I got smothered pork chops with gravy, dressing, mashed potatoes and greens. Oh and cornbread. I don’t remember what I got my gf but my chops we’re awful and rubbery and the sides tasted old and reheated and the microwaved corn bread was hard as a brick. No lie. Wasted $35. THIS PLACE IS A DUMP! When I eat out, I expect to get good, fresh food! They reheat old food instead of preparing it daily to be fresh. Because of the uncleanliness, I would never try them again. TO THE OWNER- spruce it up a bit. Clean up or hire someone who can, and at least buy some white paint and repaint and brighten the restaurant up a little. And hire a new cook or only serve fresh food. SMH Don’t waste your time here.. If you’re hungry and in the area, there’s a liquor store at Trinity and Six Mile that has awesome chicken and for...
Read moreInteresting.... I had high hopes for trying this place out only to be let down by lack of pride. It is apparent that there isn't any true owners pride at this establishment. This is by far THE DIRTIEST "café" that I have ever been to. When I walked in I thought "what's wrong?" The basic cleanliness was lacking tremendously, and no one seemed to care. It's sad because with the menu that they offer I'm sure they could make 10-20 times the income they bring in currently by having some pride and minor renovations. Employee basic uniforms would also help with the visual of this restaurant being a ligitamate business. With all respect maybe it should be turned into an actual local café instead of selling hot foods, because the establishment is not standing up to its decades of operation. I would not recommend eating here given the current state of the establishment. I hope that the owner sees this and takes into consideration the simplicity of the changes needed to increase revenue and create a better experience for...
Read moreAlways had a good experience here. The typical Chinese food but massive portions! It's good quality too, doesn't feel cheap or taste like it was made all in one giant vat. Not overly salty or greasy either.
The boba tea has a tendency to be icy compared to other places I frequent. Maybe a bit more flavoring and a scoop of less ice and it would be spot on.
Delivery and takeout so I've never dined in. Some reviewers mentioned poor customer service on the dine in experience. I've called and been quoted a proper time for delivery or ten to fifteen minutes for pickup. No issues and my order has always been correct and prompt.
Extra napkins. Forks and spoons. Accessories for soups. Soy sauce and fortune cookies wrapped nicely.
Big fan of their vegetable fried rice. Spring rolls are nice too but the sweet and sour sauce has a bitter taste to me. Thing it's processed from a bottle. They also do phò but I haven't tried it yet. Just chicken, Pork, shrimp, beef, and everyone we've ordered for has enjoyed it immensely....
