To whom it may concern,

I've been to this establishment three times and now I will no longer return. My guest and I arrived at 12:30 pm on 5/1/2016 and the restaurant was packed. No problem, the food is great so I can understand why. We awkwardly stand at the bar for a couple of minutes before we're finally addressed. We speak to one of the servers, a tall, bald gentleman and we ask if we could sit outside. He informs us that he's not serving outside because it is too cold.

He made it sound as if service outside was possible, but he didn't want to do it. I wish I could say this was the worst of my interactions with him, but throughout the entire process of waiting for a table, this gentleman finds new and horrific ways to consistently butcher the experience.

My guest and I stand for a bit longer and two other people come in, he then approaches us with an idea. He says we can have a communal 4 top in the back room. My guest and I agree but the other two patrons don't. I say fine, we'll just take the table. This man immediately backpedals and then tells us the table isn't available for just two. I ask why not, and then he finally relents. I'm thinking that we will finally be sat, which is good.

But boy was I mistaken.

He shows us to the backroom with a table covered in backpack and coats from the staff. My guest and I watch as he clears off this table obviously not meant for service and I can't help but be embarrassed. We sit at the table for another ten to fifteen minutes and then realize that we've been forgotten. I walk into the main room and ask for water, a menu and utensils. He nods and tells me he will be with us shortly. After a few minutes he asks us to get up and then PROCEEDS TO GIVE OUR TABLE AWAY. In exchange for seats at the bar, WITHOUT TELLING US WHAT HE WAS DOING.

We sit at the bar and then we finally get to eat.

I will never, ever come back to this restaurant and I will personally see to it that everyone I know and even people I don't know hear about the despicable service I received at this establish. I was ashamed to bring my guest there and I'm appalled that there was someone there who thought this style (or lack thereof) of service was acceptable.

I certainly wish you and your staff well, but I do not desire to see Le Petite Zinc survive if it only exists to taint the caliber of the restaurants in the Detroit area.

Trè très magnifique! A southern style French Bistro serving light fare sum savoury and of course sweet crepes. Do not anticipate the very sweet sweet type of crepes that are served to the American pallet. This quaint lil neighborhood place serves crepes that are light, airy and are good for a smoked salmon, Spiniach, hard boiled egg crepe to the class classique ham and swiss cheese. The Crepes themselves are perfectly thin, not doughy at all like I've had in other locations around town or overly sweet. Decor at this new place is trè chic with black & white floors, dark drapery that jus adds a softness to the space. There is a beautiful Large scale painting towards the coffee station that is an Original by one of the owners a Can Can Girl! There is a patio coming soon, altho it isn't as nice as their previous location I'm sure it'll be quaint, and tastefully done(I'll be checking that out as soon as they have it up, more pictures to come!) I enjoyed this GIANT Hot Chocolat that was phenomenal again not overly sweet(I prefer drinks or eats that do not overcome the pallet with sweetness but let the item you're eating shine!) Yea they do that here perfectly! Very excited to have LPZ back and now in Midtown! Pictures below are of my recent meal, not the Chocolat Banana Crepe, yea that's one crepe and it was huge! The prices reflect the location and...

Such a bummer. My brother and I were really looking forward to trying this place. Honestly should have walked out after sitting with menus for 10 minutes while the server sat behind the register and played on her phone. When she finally did approach, we were asked whether or not we wanted to order... uh that was the idea. Food was nothing special. Coffee was weak, my ham and cheese crepe was blah. My brother ordered the roasted chicken sandwich with the ratatouille, there wasn’t a piece of chicken to be found. Surprisingly the food came out quickly, but we figured out its bc everything is premade and just waiting to be assembled. Waited another 10 minutes after we had finished eating for boxes and the check. Server caught me glancing her way and when I asked for a box and the bill, replied in a snarky tone that they “only had really small boxes”, as if she didn’t want to give me one... beyond rude, bordering into just plain strange behavior. I replied saying sure that was fine... the server then continued to sit behind the counter in her phone instead of getting up to bring the requested check and box. What!? Could be such a good place if they just stepped up the food and got rid of the crappy servers. Don’t waste your time or money. Wish we would have went to Avalon...

I love the new location! Its larger than the last location but there is no outdoor seating now. The food is delicious and the waitstaff is very nice. They take reservations with a $10 deposit for parties of 5 or more. We went with 6 people at 10:30am on a saturday and we were fine without a reservation. Plenty of room for us at 2 tables pushed together. Will go there again for the soy-latte (served in a cute icecream bowl) alone! Large portions and the fruit is very fresh.

I enjoyed lunch here last Thursday for the first time. It is such an amazing little gem with a ton of character. I can't wait to see it in the summer time when I can enjoy a nice lunch on the patio. I wanted to have a light lunch, so I opted for the ratatouille with chicken, also a side of the curry carrot soup and fresh brewed coffee. Everything was delicious and flavorful. The service was friendly and attentive and my experience overall was wonderful.
