To be honest, when critiquing black owned businesses, some don't feel you're being fair with your opinion. But in this survey, I will give my update from the last three purchases and what I've seen then to my current purchase.
1.This owner allows a employee to have their children to be up at the restaurant after school. Well, you make think it is not a problem but it is. Plus it is more than ONE CHILD. ITS ABOUT 3-4 CHILDREN. And their up in front playing and going to back WHERE FOOD IS PREP.. That is UNSANITARY... and totally UNPROFESSIONAL.
U can say it's not bad, but it is this is a place of business not a day-care. This employee NEEDS to have something in place. The lobby should be clear of small children playing or just period in the lobby. THAT IS RELIABILITY AND THE INSURANCE DOES NOT COVER THAT.
2.Have people sitting at stations talking in STREET CLOTHES. Is UNSANITARY AND UNPROFESSIONAL.
Whatever ever happen to address people yes Sir and yes Ma'am. Why is it "How can I help you baby?" "Hey sweetie?" This isn't customer service, this OFFENCIVE and UNPROFESSIONAL. I am a customer, not anything else.
This last complaint is very serious and I hope the Owner can understand this logic is this process. Now it you are providing something and YOU run out of that item. U CAN'T CONTINUE TO SELL IT AT FULL PRICE AND YOU DON'T HAVE IT IN STOCK. Technically that BAD SERVICE... Ex. When you run out of Jr corn beef đ but continue not to give a discount on a upgrade to regular corn beef đ. NOW here is the logical point. U run out of that item for whatever reason, you SHOULD give the customer that discount towards the upgrade on it because it is the right thing to do. Yes you still made a sell but unfortunately you may not see that or it is not a part of your business ethics of satisfying your customers.
It is your business, I am only giving my opinion on business ethics.
And lastly today..
I order a Jr corn beef for my children's and I tried the regular corn beef today. The children's sandwich was ok but mine was very dry.
Enclosing.... The food is ok but these areas to me personally are a concern to me. If I see these particular Children inside I don't come in to order. I haven't made a purchase for awhile now it's been weeks. This maybe my LAST PURCHASE due to food being dry. There are no excuses to a business NEEDS. Whatever the reasons are not my concerns as a customer PERIOD. I AM PAYING FOR A SERVICE.
So far the business model I've seen here is a low grade. Customer Service 4 of 10, Cleanliness / Sanitary of traffic in the back 2 out of 10, Wait time 4 out of 10 and Business Professional of the store is 2 out of 10 total = 12 points out 30
What you see isn't what you should get if you are paying...
Read moreCash only and the line was out the door. I guess thatâs a good thing for the people who have time to wait. The food must be good but Iâve never had the chance to try cause I donât travel with a lot of cash, and I donât have over half an hour to wait for sandwich. Disappointed because I love corn beef.
I am editing this response because the ownerâs response has irritated me. LET ME CLARIFY...First of all it was my first time coming to your restaurant, I drove 20 minutes there, 20 minutes back. So yes youâre going to get one star when I got to that point and I did not see a ghetto cash only sign due to people standing in the way, just to realize that I still couldnât get food. So next time maybe if you could get your customer service together and I could have the opportunity to eat your food. What did you expect me to do leave the line I was already in, go to an ATM, and come back and get in the line. Are you crazy?Second of all you have no right to tell me what to write your business based on my experience, if I didnât even get a chance to eat there after that amount of effort on my part...then yes youâre going to get one star. its not just about the food it is the experience that also counts! Check yourself, the customer is always right. Your tone is what is wrong AND I would have been willing to try again before your response and refer ppl if it WAS GOOD! I am a small business owner who doesnât have time for food sometimes. I donât serve food but I still can take credit cards... just note that probably is what irritated me the most!! And the fact that I donât want to be standing out in the cold and then a crowded lobby for a sandwich I had never tried due to YOUR inability to take credit cards...you have two locations and cannot take credit cards?? And you mad you got 1 star??Giving me other locations or talking down to me because you run a special on Tue I didnât know about?? Next time just say âthank you and I apologize for the inconvenience!! Hope you can try us again.â Ok? And thatâs black business owner to black owner. Let me tell you that I DID get a sandwich down the street at one of your competitors, it was delicious, and it was timely. And they took credit cards. When you get a review you donât like that means you DO SOMETHING about, you improve your services! You donât get smart with the person who made the comment... good luck and God bless. And despite my irritation, I still love corn beef and may try your place. I just know I better...
Read moreIn my continuing search for a good quality pastrami sandwhich i tried this place for the first time. Very busy, and patrons i spoke with liked the food. I did not!
What i got was middle grade lunch meat steam heated and served on requested onion roll. Not the traditional cooked corned beef brisket slab sliced on a slicer. This use to be a method reserved for restaurants that were not deli's. But now it is being used as the way to move corned beef restaurants into the fast food category.
The attraction for many people is simple, quantity. That cheaper than quality, humungous sandwich that is a good imitation. Meaning the view that it has the look, smell, and flavor, so who cares if its real meat or not. They even have a buy one, get one free, day. Try to get that at a real Deli.
Soon no one will remember what a non processed, corned beef brisket is like. Real meat texture thats not on the...
