Shottys kitchen — Restaurant in Detroit

Please everyone know that this restaurant is inside the marathon gas station the food was outstanding and I love everything here although I think its a little pricy for me but I don't say that for everyone I had a burger with double patties and I loved it juicy and everything I said the chef it was that and the fires were good as well although there were not enough salt for me but I'm happy with that as well fries were good as well nice seasoning I had a mission mango smoothie and I love that as well I went to gas station cashier 'wais' to get a Dr paper and he was very cool guy and didn't charge me for it in short I love everything about this place and to be honest I didn't expected such a good quality food from a place inside a gas station at all the stuff was very kind and professional the young chef was very quick and kind and he let me to customize my burger and ali also was very friendly the only reason that I removed a star from cause this area is very shady and I felt insecure not inside of the gas station but outside when I try to enjoy my food outside of the gas station there was a guy looking strange at me and he was looking for cigarettes filters outside and I feel sorry about him and I wish him a good luck and believe it or not I was in half of my burger but I put it back and drove to citgo gas station around the corner cause i was done with that area my word for staff is nice job and professional work I appreciate it I hope they could reduce thier price a little bit and I might visit here again but definitely not eating on my car ill drive home to...

Placed an order here for the first time based on all of the positive Google reviews. I was ordering to feed 6 people with varied tastes, so I went with one of each of the protein/rice dishes and figured I'd let everyone choose. Everyone thought everything was so good, that we all ended up sharing all of the dishes. In my experience, it is pretty rare to have six different people try something for the first time, and have all unanimously agree that it is superb.

They seem to have a variety of comfort food available late at night, but the star of the show is the New York food cart style chicken or steak with rice dishes. All of them are excellent, and the potato wedges were not bad either.

The only improvement I would suggest is to improve the signage (Shotty's Kitchen is located inside the Marathon gas station at the corner of Livernois and Tireman). I called in my order in advance, and literally had to call them again once I got there because I had no idea where the restaurant actually was!

Do yourself a favor and try...

Went to Shotty's kitchen on northline, across the street from the family dollar parking lot, in southgate and i gotta say: the phrase "made with love" gets thrown around a lot, but this is the only guy that delivers on that promise.

I've never had food from a place so overwhelmingly filling and satisfying, nevermind talking to the owner himself and hearing how much he cares about everything he makes and everyone he serves.
