update: I have really been trying ot give the place a chance to prove itself and turn out something other than basic dog food. I decided to try to breakfast (how can you possibly mess up eggs and grits?). I once again had to throw my food away out of it being not being edible, taste buds were destroyed all day. Eggs were cooked in old olive oil, they werent scrambled but oddly ripped and torn into flat flavorless strips of blandness(never in my life seen eggs presented in such a way). Why is good flavorful food a struggle for this spot? Nothing comes out the kitchen tasting like something you would pay money to eat. Please do the hood a favor and shut the doors...............food is nothing to get excited about and service times are crazy, there is no Soul in any of the food. Mac and cheese is flavorless, greens lack the proper seasoning and just bland (overpowered with the taste of onion powder). Yams are not sweet and are bland as well. I come expecting properly seasoned and cooked food, but that wont be found here. The burgers are very dry, as well as the corned beef. hey need to go back to the drawing board and find new recipes. So if I could give no stars I would but I can't. I had a few ppl say it was delicious, so I decided to try it and I'm literally up the street. So I go in around 3. I order a catfish dinner they say they don't have any so I tried getting chicken, NO CHICKEN. So now I'm frustrated but, still polite. So I ask what did they have she says shrimp and sides. So I decided to get a shrimp poboy with a side of mac and cheese and cabbage. They didn't have either. So I decided to just get the poboy. It was bland no flavor and like 5 pieces of shrimp. It took 25 minutes and for what bread and toppings with 5 pieces of shrimp. I just asked for a refund and they said no. Completely unsatisfied. Won't go back....... The food is okay but more than this is the service, if I could give 10 below 0 stars I would. I try to support this business as it is black owned but every time, I go there the owners' attitude is horrid. It seems that if you ask a question, he is sooo irritated, rolling his eyes like I'm bothering him. He's what I call nasty nice, smiling while being nasty, where the nastiness outweighs the smile. He doesn't really want to be bothered with the people, just their money, and for that reason I gracefully bow out, I will never go there again. I tried to support but he didn't want my support.
