Sweetheart Bakery — Restaurant in Detroit

I Love my sweetheart bakery even though people who go there don't know how to park parallel like the sign says they block the driveway. I will let that go because I want to get my fancy bread my angel wings and my beautiful cake but again I waited forever to get waited on which is great cuz they're busy I want them to be busy I love sweethearts but they did not have my cake the vanilla cake with the light white frosting,with nuts. I am so mad. It's the third time I've been there and I didn't have my cake. I'll have to order it. But the big problem is I bought an apple strudel my 2nd favorite. My beautiful apple strudel was a cherry strudel it's okay it is wonderful that taste great I never would have had one if it wasn't mislabeled. But I love apples. And now I like cherry too.how am I going to decide if I'm going to get an apple or if I'm going to get cherry. I...

Update. I usually go every year to get mt cajes fron tkelly location. Never had a issue. But all thing acome to an end. For the oast 2 years, everytime i krder my cakes its either delayed, they are booked and now this year the decorator is going on vacation and can not do the order ever then i swnt my ordwr in weeks ago and it "slipped through the cracks" but i called thev1 in warren just to drscover that all roads still lead to Kelly because the warren location doesnt bake in store! The person that did the decorating before was awesome. Its not the same i loved there cake they are one of thr kast few that still does butter cream but the decorator or place cant keep up and its sad. Had to place 2 cake orders and theys still was not sant my child eanted she basically told mr that i have to have a basic cakr with a printed photo niy custom. Will find another bakery...

I've been going here for years and so has my family. It's one of my go to places for celebration cakes. They never let me down even when I let them use their creativity to bring to life whatever I envision. I like that they have flavored cake batters like strawberry and lemon aside from the typical chocolate and vanilla. They also have different filling flavors that you can choose from for in between the cake layers. I ordered my Birthday cake from there recently, which was a 3 layer 10in round, bottom & top layer strawberry batter and the middle layer vanilla with strawberry filling and butter cream frosting. It was so delicious and super moist that everyone kept on asking me where I had gotten it from! The ladies here are Always nice, helpful and patient with the customers.
