Mexico 2 Go — Restaurant in DeWitt Charter Township

We drove by this place and decided to turn around to try it. The restaurant had no paper towels in the bathroom and had none to put in there when I asked. There are tables in there to eat, but don't expect to be waited on. They only have water and pop in cans. But it is Mexico 2 Go so fair enough. Our chips were okay -- average. The mild salsa was hot. It was the liquid in the bottle, which isn't good salsa to me anyway. When we got the food, it was delicious. I ordered the chimichanga with shredded beef (didn't have any asada) and my dining partner had beef tacos. I was pleasantly surprised how good it was considering it looked like a dive inside. My chimicanga had a nice amount of beef, a little beans, and a little cheese with a lot of empty space, but I appreciated it not being overfilled with rice and beans. There was lettuce, tomatoes, etc on the plate. It filled me up without getting too stuffed. The price was also good. Both of us ate for about $10....

I never in a million years thought I could give a mexican resturant a bad rating for their food. I've eaten mexican food all over the country and I've never not enjoyed it. I ordered a smothered burrito today with some of their mexican dip. The burrito was simply a tortilla with bland shredded beef on the inside, smothered with what I would guess is just the cheap red enchilada sauce you can buy at walmart in a can. There just wasnt much diversity in flavor and texture. The mexican dip I could only eat a few bites of before I just tossed it out. From what I can tell its just beans with a little bit of ground beef in it? I thought it would have queso or something.The salsa wasnt bad, its smooth in texture but just like everything else I tasted from this place, it lacked flavor. Im surprised at how highly this resturant is rated because like I said, ive never hated mexican food in my life. But today was that day, worst mexican food...

The food is fantastic. Prices are fair. They finally got a pop machine which is great. Food is made quickly. Why give it only 3 stars you ask? Well, the bathroom has a sticky floor, is in serious disrepair and smells wet dog. The female owner is smiley and welcoming, the male owner is polite, and the other 3 employees I've seen in my 10 or so visits will just standing there and look at you, literally. Won't smile or let alone say hello and when you are finished ordering/paying, they'll go back to their phones. About 40% of the time you might get a please or thank you. I've decided that our family will just order to-go from this point on because you don't feel welcome in that restaurant. And I've sat an observed the other patrons and the treatment is the same across the board. Its really unfortunate because the customer training would be a simple adjustment and would make a world...
