Overall bad experience.

Overhead staff in the kitchen getting heated and bickering about something while I waited. Most everything has little or underwhelming flavor. Ruined our morning breakfast trying out a new place.

My order: One molasses cookie - I didn't even bother finishing it, wife rated it the worst she's had.

Sourdough baguette - oddly on the stodgy side must not have been needed enough and so the texture was strange to me as a sourdough and bread fanatic. Not the tough and chewy love that sourdough normally is.

Cinnamon roll - I honestly prefer the Pillsbury frozen brand over what they made. Theirs was very dry and very flavorless.

Sourdough herb loaf - also missing the chewiness and bounce you expect from sourdough. (Maybe using the word sourdough is a bit misleading for their bread.) Still, this was the best of what we bought. I ate this loaf and my wife passed on everything as they were "not worth...

The artisan sourdough breads are fabulous (notably the nut and seed), though their challah bread is wonderfully paired with various sweet jams and even some deli meats. Their special breads like the double chocolate chip and apple cinnamon swirl are tasty too.

Their main attraction is their cinnamon rolls. Many friends have loved them and bought more. The rolls are not as sweet per other bakeries, because they use unrefined sugarcane juice (I believe its called panela). The dough is springy and not mushy.

They also serve a large variety of different teas, which I plan to try them all. Their Reo Town Joe coffee is pleasant as well. My family nostalgically compared it to the coffee that was served at a Coney island year back, which they loved. The flavor is subtle, making it a definite take home product.

If you haven’t tried this bread, you have to! I have to limit my bread products but this so much more tolerable to my system because of the natural, organic ingredients. This bread is so delicious and so much healthier than anything you can get at your local supermarket. The cranberry walnut was just the perfect combo with the crunch of the walnuts and sweetness of the cranberries. The apple cinnamon tastes like a wonderful dessert.
