Riverside Pizza — Restaurant in Dexter Township

Riverside Pizza has been a reliable pizzeria with high quality food and service for years. However, on May 30,something went awry.We were charged an amount much higher than our usual for our standard order(we didn’t catch this when we ordered), and the delivered pizza and wings didn’t come close to their normal quality. The pizza was undercooked and lacked tomato sauce, while the wings were completely flavorless ( as they forgot the sauce).It was to late in the day to complain, but upon calling the next day, the person who we believed to be the owner or manager didn’t seem to care that we had an issue or was not willing to offer any discount-even on a future order.So we don’t know if this is a one day occurrence, or now a trend, but we can no longer recommend Riverside Pizza.We understand that it is hard to maintain consistency every day, but it’s worse when the management turns a deaf ear to...

Their pizza is very good. Customer service not so much, I ordered a 1/2 BBQ chicken 1/2 BLT pizza about 3 weeks ago. The man who took my order hesitated because of the sauces, I told him it would not bother me at all and he made my pizza to perfection. Today I go in on a slow Tuesday afternoon, I ask for the same order and the employee abruptly tells me he cannot make that pizza for me. I told him splitting mayo and bbq is not too hard of a job as I’ve made pizzas and worked in the industry for over 3 years. He told me he couldn’t do it because sometimes they are “busy” and don’t have time to split sauces like that and if they do it for someone one day and not the next then the customer usually gets angry. Ok, some other business or just plan idiots that failed 1st grade English are trying to post bad reviews for this place. My former job, for years, required me to cover half the United States for business and I have been to more restaurants than the average person will see. For the location outside of a small town, it is presentable, the food is great, the prices are dirt cheap, and the customer service has never been an issue. It's not St. Elmo Steak House in Indianapolis or The Capital Grille in Cinci, but once again for the location and price, you can't beat it. When we have friends and family come over and go out on the boat we always order here because we get the same response........wow...
