The folks who work here are very friendly and most of the food is very good! I have had a few flops here though.
Pros: Pretty much anything with "curry" in the name is amazing. Try them all, you won't be disappointed!
Cons: I had a bad experience with the sashimi. It took a very long time to come out and when it did it was still a bit frozen in the center while being oddly warm on the edges suggesting an attempt to rapidly defrost the fish for consumption.
The Mid: I went in the other day to try the pho because nobody else in town serves it sadly. First of all, the broth was a bit underwhelming and could use more depth of flavor but that is the least of the issues. The noodles were mushy and overcooked, the meat was cooked to the point of looking like grey overly chewy lumps in the soup, and to compound the meat issue, there was no tripe or other bits you expect in good pho! Finally, instead of serving the herbs, hot peppers, and sprouts on the side, they were all just mixed into the broth which had the effect of giving me a section of the bowl which looked like a pile of wilted leaves and old sprouts.
Sorry for the pho rant, but if they'd dial that in a bit better I'd probably be there to eat at least...
Read moreI stopped while passing through because I love pho. It seemed like a favorite place for locals to eat, so maybe I just ordered the wrong thing. I'm pretty confident that my pho was just a reheated instant pack of Mama pho bo. They did add vegetables and meat, but these items were added for me, and the pho was heavily salt and prepared. The noodles were not fully cooked. While I don't mind the occasional pack of Instant pho at home, I expect real bone broth and rice noodles when I go out and pay $13+ for my bowl. I'm pretty sure the spring rolls were a heated pack from the frozen food section of the local grocery store. They did not have a good flavor and were very mushy. There was also a sewer smell coming from the bathroom. They had set a fan in front of the bathroom, attempting to keep the smell from coming until the restaurant, but it wasn't very successful. The owner/server was friendly, but after I asked for my check, she never returned to collect my payment. I had to ask her husband (a cook and server at the restaurant) to take my payment after he had delivered some food to another table. While I love to support small business and immigrant restaurants, I sadly can't go back to this one after...
Read moreWalked in not knowing what to expect as first time eating here. Family run business, small town so they know alot of local folks. I'm assuming mom was out in front today and she's quite talkative and funny! Ordered pork dumplings and they were hot and crispy and delicious!! Not like they had sat somewhere under a heat lamp for long time waiting for an order.
For main course Ordered chow main noodle with beef. Again totally blown away with flavor and how it was temp wise. Place is busy with both people eating in and take out. The portions are good size as well. Highly recommend if in town, you won't be disappointed! Remember... closed 3-4 pm for Chef Break.

Went in for dinner. Stood at the counter for almost 5 minutes before someone came out. While waiting noticed the floor was absolutely filthy, food and you can see where liquids had been spilt and not cleaned up, and it didn't smell very good in there. Not what I've...
