King's Famous Pizza — Restaurant in Dillon

This is one of my favorite restaurants when I come home to see my mom. Tonight was my worse experience with the staff and owner. It doesn't matter if the error is as small as giving me chips vs. Fries or not toasting my buns. Give me what I paid for ($21 worth of food). Apologize when you make a mistake, don't say you didn't cook it. The owner wouldn't come to the phone to take the complaint. Their choice was either bring the subs back to be made again or get a refund. The server also said be sure to bring the subs back for the refund. Are you insinuating I wanted a free sub? You made the error not me. Maybe if there was a diverse staff you would think that way. The only African Americans I saw were in the kitchen. There have been multiple occasions where the servers and this particular owner has been rude and hard to work with when they mess up your food. These are young girl half my age allowed to be rude to customers. The owner should be ashame of himself to allow this. Customers should really consider not patronizing these restaurants for bad behavior. Note: I was not rude or nasty or ugly. This started with the rude server who took my order and never confirmed anything I said. She wrote down fries vs. Chips. If you can't deal with the public don't work in public places. ...

Walked in at 12:45. They were very busy. Ordered a personal pizza and pepper steak sandwich, a corona and water After 25 minutes the blond waitress came back filled my water We asked for a 2 nd beer. She brought it back unopened. Had to go to cash register to get beer opened The restaurant emptied by then 1:05 Finally at 1:25 a man busing tables asked if we needed anything. We said our food. He brought out cold soggy pizza cold fries and sandwich. At 1:40 we went to the cash register to pay with no check. Blond girl never came back to table. The register lady asked the blond girl for our check. She asked us if we had a problem. I reiterated above and she told us not to ever come back if we didn’t like it The register lady then said they were busy and short handed. I said there is no excuse for that kind of customer service She then informed me if I didn’t like it not to come back I was never nasty to either girl. My wife and I had our grandkids for the weekend and they love pizza. I thought we would take them somewhere that they hadn’t ever been before. I knew about this place for years and we’ve been to King’s Pizza in Myrtle Beach before. They’ve always been known for delicious pizza and subs. We ordered the large pepperoni, their favorite, along with a short order of chicken wings and my wife made a trip thru the salad bar. Look the pizza was delicious and the wings were much better than I expected. Sorry about the picture. We were half way through before I thought about pictures. Also take note that I chose to rate the atmosphere at 3 star because this facility has been around for many years and the inner atmosphere and furnishings need to be upgraded. If I remember correctly when I worked near by in the late 70’s this building was used as part of the police station but that was a long time ago and my memory is not very clear. But the food was delicious and our server did an excellent job. The kids loved the pizza and commented that it was loaded with cheese and they loved that. Give it a try if ever...
