Yamamori Japanese Restaurant — Restaurant in Dinuba

I dont understand why they deep fry tofu and then soak it and cover it in a sauce? If there is a sauce, shouldn't it only come up 1/3 max on the tofu as is traditional from my understanding? What i got was soggy, gross, and over the borderline disgusting to eat. I powered through 3 pieces, hoping i was missing something, but in the end it was a horrible botched dish that I threw about 90% of it away even though I was extremely starved. AND I had ordered no veggies just to make sure the tofu stayed crispy (unaware of the sauce) but got veggies all the same. Someone commented the price was on the cheaper side of a sushi joint (why i didn't order sushi), but it shows in lack of forethought, talent, and attention to detail. First review I've done in a bit, but soggy, wet, unpalatable, fried tofu is just idiocy to me. Why? Just common sense alone would seemingly dictate don't soak deep fried in a sauce. Who else does this but those snarky Canadians...

You can expect questionably fresh fish, which took a solid 45 minutes to arrive in front of you, although the restaurant is virtually empty. I strongly suggest that you don't sit at the Sushi bar when dining. It will be a bleak and lonely experience unless you are there with a fellow companion. You can expect no simpatico from the lone "Sushi Master" because: A. The cooler/fridge where the sushi bar is located sits way too high and prevents any communication directly with The Master. B. Lack of engagement and passion for his chosen profession C. The Restaurant obviously lacks a Mission Statement as well as a purpose to exist in today's competitive market.

This was the first time. I came to try this place in dinuba. We were looking for a place to eat and thought we would try this restaurant. My husband is a fan of ramen. He ordered the ramen and bento box He was excited and happy to try it. I ordered the volcano roll and katsu chicken bowl and I will say it was all good, we were not disappointed. All the food was made good. This is a place I can come back too. This was the first time trying this restaurant and it was satisfying with the results. The waitress was nice too.
