It was very nice atmosphere when we initially wakled in. The Hostess looked up at my family of 5 at 7pm and rather than helping us right away, took a call and made a reservation while we waited, ready to dine! There was no signage that we needed a reservation, nothing on the website that said we needed a reservation. However, we were there and saw empty tables to accommodate us. We were turned away, “sorry you should have made a reservation”. I am a small business owner and I would never turn away customers who are ready to try out the fancy fare for the first time. 1st impressions were a complete disappointment. At the VERY LEAST, they should have offered us a table and explained they were busy and because we didn't make a reservation, our dining experience will take longer than normal. Perfect! we are so ready to drink some wine and eat some appetizers while we wait for our main course! Nope, “sorry, should have made a reservation.” We walked in just as a group of 8 was leaving. Super disappointing. We drove a bit farther to McCall to a high end steak house, The hostess greated us with a smIle and after maybe a 15 second wait, explained service may be slower than normal, due to a party of 20! Perfect! They took our drink & appetizer order right away! We walked in hesitant of the same experience, but absolutely nothing but warm smiles, treating us with respect and we' were happy to pay our $500 bill before tip!
Sorry you had a busy night, Ragazza, but we would have been well worth your time! AND we are known at a number of cascade restaurants, as terrific repeat customers, 5+ times a month…. For the steak house that welcomed us with open arms, thank you and see...

From the confusion on their website I was under the impression that they were “not taking reservations at this time”. So we took a chance and hoped we would be able to dine in with just myself, my mother and my young daughter. We ended up continuing with take out due to a busy night of reservations (which wasn’t communicated in the kindest of ways). But first, were encouraged to order take out from their sister restaurant instead because “they would be better with take out”.. not sure what that means. It was a bummer at first but I used to be in the industry so I get it, busy nights will happen and walk ins won’t always be possible. That’s not what turned us off. The communication to their guests was absolutely awful. The first gal wasn’t the friendliest to say the least. As I came in to pick up my order, I met the hostess who handed me my order. I smiled and said “thank you so much” with not a single response. I thought maybe she didn’t hear me so I said “thank you” again. And with not even a crack in her smile she just looked away and walked off. That was probably the worst part of it all. Because of this we will not be returning. I hope the food is what can keep this place open because it definitely won’t be the customer service from those we had encountered.
Edited and corrected: we asked the employee of the reservation, not the guest. Your lovely response proves our point more so. Your defensive and unprofessional responses to previous negative reviews seems to be very accurate. Good...
   Read moreManager left very false claims after I edited my review and after a very nice phone call. The only reviews I left were on google and open table. I did not storm all media outlets with negative reviews. I did tell staff about how unhappy I was with the meals. Will never recommend again and will never visit again.
Edit: After leaving the review I got a very nice call from the manager. She was super nice and said that she wished we would have mentioned while there. She offered a free entree if I visit again
Service and atmosphere were great but food very disappointing. I was so looking forward going back for my birthday.
I have told so many how wonderful their food was and highly recommended them.
This time the food was mediocre at best. I will share pictures to demonstrate the difference.
I reordered the short ribs and the portion was so small, it was a fourth the size as before. Also they served it over macaroni and cheese instead of the truffle risotto. Tastes were not complimentary at all.
The fettuccine noodles were gummy and too aldente. The desert lava cake was not very good either. They need to go back to the mocha cheesecake with raspberry sauce. The clam appetizer was so so. The only appetizer that was superior was the fried artichoke heart.
We all said maybe the chef was on vacation to have such substandard food. Doubtful I will recommend...
