I recently had the misfortune of visiting El Ladrillo, and I feel compelled to share my experience. I had made a reservation for a party of 25 individuals over a month ago, only to have it unceremoniously canceled by the staff. To make matters worse, the attitude displayed by the older lady who handled the reservation was utterly disappointing.
First and foremost, the cancellation of our reservation was incredibly unprofessional. Planning a gathering for 25 people requires ample time, effort, and coordination, and we had invested all of that into our reservation at El Ladrillo. To make matters even more distressing, the cancellation of our reservation was not just last-minute, but it occurred on the same day and hour that our party was supposed to arrive. This complete lack of consideration for our plans and disregard for the impact it would have on our group demonstrates a severe lack of professionalism and basic courtesy. It left us scrambling for an alternative dining option at the eleventh hour, causing unnecessary stress and frustration.
Moreover, the manner in which the situation was handled by the aforementioned older lady was nothing short of appalling. When we requested an explanation for the sudden cancellation, she claimed that we did not answer the confirmation call the day after the reservation. However, this was simply not true. We had indeed confirmed the reservation two days after and, out of caution, even called to confirm again a week prior to the reservation date. The dismissive and condescending attitude displayed by the older lady was both shocking and disrespectful. Instead of offering sincere apologies or addressing our concerns, she continuously deflected blame onto us for not responding to the confirmation call, despite our repeated confirmation attempts. Her unprofessional behavior and lack of empathy further soured an already disappointing situation.
In conclusion, I cannot recommend El Ladrillo based on the negative experience I had. The mishandling of our reservation, paired with the off-putting attitude of the older lady who dealt with our concerns, left a lasting negative impression. For those seeking a pleasant and reliable dining experience, I suggest exploring other options...
Read moreWhere to start. Well my family and I rolled in as a party of nine, we were all excited to try something new and have a nice evening as a whole. We all got dressed, hair, makeup, and all. We come in and first we’re greeted by this man with an attitude. We let it rolled off our shoulders and take a gander at the scenery. We were in awe nonetheless. We order our food and thus far things are looking great. Then my cousin and uncle come to realize that their steaks were over cooked. We’d figure it wasn’t a big deal to ask for another. Preferably one that way properly cooked. Our waiter stated that it’ll be ‘no problem’ he grabs the dishes and heads back. We continue on with our night and a couple minutes later this rude lady comes to the table with my cousins previous steak in hand. “What’s wrong with it?” She questions as she stares down at my cousin “it’s over cooked that’s medium well I asked for it medium rare” he states back. She pulls out (I kid you not) a flashlight. A FLASHLIGHT. She holds it to the plate and swear up and down that it’s medium rare.My cousin points at my dish and says “I want mine like hers.” The lady rushes to me and flashes a flashlight in my face. She flashes back and forth between my plate and his. She leaves that table and goes “oh so you want it rare” and storms off. The rest of the night she continued to give our table nasty glares. We later find out that that’s the owner of the restaurant. At this point my families clearly uncomfortable and can’t wait to leave. The bill comes and they charge up wrong. Rather than paying $240 as told with tip and all we get charged $360. That’s a pretty big difference if you ask me. Nonetheless the experience was terrible. You pay a good amount of money for a good amount of service. We felt judged the entire night see but that was a feeling we were all able to look past. Until we got confronted with a flashlight. The food was good the experience...
Read moreI thought it was a little over priced. The food was great. It was plated beautifully and the service fantastic. I liked the way the place was decorated. It had paintings all around. You can loose yourself just admiring them. The music was really nice too. We started with appetizer. We had sestas al ajo tostados. Mushrooms in a garlic sauce. It was delicious. We also had perchuto with manchego cheese. It was delicious. We all liked it. My main course was chuleton de ternera Puerto Rico style. It was veal chop with a sauce and peppers. I loved the dish it was very good. The flavors and sauce where delicious. It could have been a little more tender but delicious. It came with one side. I chosed fries. Personally I think every plate should have already come with white rice also. It is not expensive and it completed my and some of the other dishes. That sauce was incredible but it just sat there. I could not enjoy it. I was surprised that there where no dinner rolls. It would have helped. From appetizers to dinner it was a long wait. They would have gone well with my plate and my cousin soup. The coffee here is fantastic a must try. I can't describe it it's diferent. The flan was good. The restaurant has its own parking. That was good. They are very clean. Temperatures are taken here. I advise to make reservations. There is...
