Guadalajara Mexican Grill — Restaurant in Dover

Let me start off by saying every time I've ate here, the food has always been delicious. Today, however, that was not the case. We were the only ones in there at the time we came in. It started off by the server asking what me and my son wanted and disregarded what my fiance wanted and brought us all the same drinks when he just wanted water. So we got charged for that. Why we never said anything goes to my next point, the server was with (who I'm assuming) her family, never came to check on us. Instead, her (again assuming) daughter came over only because I kept looking in their direction. As far as the food goes, everyone's was great except for mine. I usually always get the shrimp and cheese quesadillas. ALL of my shrimp except maybe 2 or 3, still had the tails on it. It isn't an issue that they store buy some or all of their food but to not check on that is so horrible. Especially since I'm almost 38 weeks pregnant. I want to enjoy my food as is. Not bite into the shell almost everytime and have to pull apart my food just to take it off. Most of the time, this place truly is great. Today just changed my mind on going back. We went yesterday, and I was just too busy to make a review. The food was 70, for two of the steak, chicken, shrimp nachos, chicken cheese and rice, and a small cheese dip. 2 drinks and a kids drink. We walked in and get seated. She brings our drinks, and I didn’t see any straws, and she didn’t say anything as she was walking away, when she gets up to the cash register, I said, excuse me mam, we need straws. She rolls her eyes, and says just give me a minute. We were the only ones seated. As she was bringing me my straws, then 2 more tables walk in. The food was gross. I didn’t more than half of mine. My daughter didn’t eat hers, we still took it home and gave it to the dog. My fiance said it was okay. I feel like they away with the prices because they’re the only Mexican restaurant in Dover. I paid my bill, still tipped. We won’t be coming back. I am going to stick to going to Clarksville. Our drinks weren’t empty, and the food came out at a decent time. Use to be a great place, what happen!!! Horrible tonight, n I hear this is normal. Wow! Too sad. Read all of this.. 1st of all, I had to go up to register for napkins, after being served chips, cheese dip, n beer. Second,lady came for our order, but we didn't have a menu, and still no napkins, 3rd they didn't check back if we needs chips or salsa, 4th, I ask for a box to go, and had togo to counter, 5th, I asked for bag of chips n salsa to go, that's normally free, and they charges me 1.99 for bag of chips n salsa to go, when I have already cheeses dip, I had to put into container my self, so I said I want my 1.99 back. She gave me dollar with nickels n pennies. I pulled out a penny to make even dollar, had to wait again cuz she left.
