Miller's Bakery — Restaurant in Dover

One of the “planned” stops upon recommendation of Jeff and team from Amish Country Lodging (Berlin Woods Treehouses), Cinnamon Twists and Apple Fritters (approx 2.50)were fresh and huge ,the cheese tarts (1.35) are “to die for” - the crust is light and amazing, making these 3” diameter pastries almost like a mini cheesecake (minus graham cracker) - fruited or plain cheese - lightly sweet and tender to the tooth! Those and the “creme sticks” (3”x6” fruit or creme filled donuts with chocolate icing) YUM They also had variety of chocolates - our group was not overly enthusiastic with these. Cash, and 3% added for use of credit/debit card. CUTE little bakery/shop. We stopped here between Hershberger’s Farm & Bakery and the Guggisberg Cheese Factory (maybe 5 minutes between each stop) - very close to our treehouse rental off 626 in Berlin Woods -...

Someone posted 2 weeks ago complaining about the apple fritters. I took pics of the “thin” apple fritters. These were at least 1 1/2” thick, in middle a bit puffier and about 6” across. The long John’s about 7”. Not small.

If you ever have the opportunity to visit Millersburg, you MUSTMUSTMUST, stop at this bakery. it is hugely popular. their products are double the size of any other donut shop or bakery. donuts with filling—-are filled one end to the other or the complete middle. NOT like other commercial donut shops that fill at the openings and the whole middle is empty. Of just in middle. Well worth the money, which compared to a lot of shops are even cheaper. A hidden gem in Amish country. I stopped by after seeing a picture of the cinnamon rolls on a Facebook page. This place is fully stocked with something for everyone. They have two different areas to make single selections, and also have boxed cookies and pies to select from. There was a rack fully stocked with day old treats for half off which were very tempting! I ended on the regular vanilla cinnamon roll. The dough was perfect and large with a great amount of cinnamon flavor. The vanilla frosting was perfectly sweetened complimenting the roll and not overpowering with sweetness. They also have a caramel frosted and cinnamon frosted roll which both equally sound delicious.
