Visited Grand Teton National Park and the lodge a few weeks ago. My husband and I decided to eat dinner at the Blue Heron because it has a fantastic view!!! We found a table and waited about 20 minutes for our waitress. The restaurant was busy, but there were still places to sit. When our waitress did come, she immediately asked us what we wanted to order and the moment we hesitated said “I am really busy right now. I will come back.” Blunt, but it didn’t initially bother us. She came back in 10 minutes and took our order. The food came quick, but it was not good. We both got burgers and the tasted like frozen, school lunch burgers. My husband came with a very small pile of potato chips (not the restaurant made kind) and mine has some arugula with dressing. Our waitress never came back. Another staff member took our dirty dishes and we watched our waitress run around our table not even looking at us. We had our 6 month old with us, and when he start to cry, I took him out to the car. My husband waited for another hour for our check. After multiple attempts to flag down our waitress, he stopped another staff member to ask for help. They were able to get our original waitress and when she came with the bill she just said “I forgot I had that table.”
Maybe she was having a bad day, but since the food wasn’t good either, we will NOT...
Read moreReally wanted to like this place because of the epic location. However, the service was absolutely terrible. I think there were two bus boys, two bartenders, one waiter, and the manager working tonight (7/11/25). The waiter took forever to get to our table and take the order, not really his fault as it appeared he was waiting on the entire place. The manager, white guy with tattoos, seemed to be hanging out with guests at the bar instead of worrying about his restaurant circling the drain. My daughter ordered the grilled cheese and was enjoying it until a boiling hot cherry tomato exploded in her mouth causing a worse than normal burn to her tongue and roof of her mouth. The waiter or manager never stopped by to check how our food was or refill the waters. Once we flagged down the waiter we informed him about the burn. He apologized, but that was it. We weren’t expecting anything but the offer would have been nice. We had to get a cup of ice from the neighboring restaurant. My daughter has been sucking on ice for the last hour, hopefully the pain stops before bed. Besides that the food was decent. My wife ordered a cocktail which sat on the bar for about 16min after it was made before the bar tender had to...
Read moreI see a lot of not so good reviews on here, but I have to say we had a very good experience. First off, we barely got ourselves seated and a wonderful server was already there with water and asked about our drink order. When we ordered our lunch it took a few extra minutes but we absolutely did not care whatsoever because of the incredible views! When our wonderful server came with entrees, she immediately said she would be right back with refills of our beverages. My wife had Burrata and tomatoes and I had the yard bird sandwich. Both were fantastic! The bill was slightly pricey but you're in Jackson, Grand Teton park. Furthermore, you get what you pay for and in my opinion, this was one of the greatest dining experiences we've ever had. It will be a very long time before we ever get back there, but it will NEVER be forgotten! Thank you Blue Heron for an amazing...
