Houlihan's — Restaurant in Dubuque

Terrible waiting for owner to contact, do not go here!!!!!! Was told i was drunk we ordered 1 beer after sitting down. Told us we were over served please leave....... she was trying to leave an hour early mad because we sat down late on a slow night. I am a Hilton diamond member have never been treated like this anywhere in the world. Will follow up with owner or franchise as this was an attempt to cover up a bad idea of the server to leave early by demeaning us, and an 10 minute conversation with her young night manager was a sad attempt to cover her fault. There were two other people in the entire restaurant, aside from us. His defense of her stupidity was that multiple reports had come in that we were loud and she had to do it. I asked her in front of him if we were loud or belligerent in any way, she looked down and said no you were not. We are in town for our niece’s event and staying at the Hilton Garden Inn. We invited family out to eat by the hotel since it was along day of traveling. We had a party of 7 that asked for a table at 8:20 and was told 30-40 minute wait, so we all sat at the bar. We all ordered drinks and they were all a sugary mess. The bartender said she was 19 and had no idea what she was doing, the old fashioned was syrupy and red, even my beer was poured into a hot glass, so every drink was messed up. I attached the empty pictures because this was how the restaurant looked when we were finally seated. EMPTY! So why did we have to wait the full 40 minutes to an hour for our table? The staff was unbelievably rude. Our waiter was Blake and I watched him snatch the menu from my mother-in-law’s hand. I would not recommend this restaurant. I usually try and only post good reviews but every now and then I have such a terrible experience that they deserve the bad review.

I looked at the menu and was a little skeptical of this place, but we went anyway because we were headed to the casino. We ordered chicken wings as an appetizer and they were delicious! My partner said if this is any indication on the rest of the meal, we're in for a treat. We ordered ribs and a burger and split them. We got fries and tortilla chips and salsa for the sides. The salsa was great, fresh, and hearty. We enjoyed everything cooked to perfection. Our waitress was very attentive. She also realized that the table she got after ours got their food before ours and let the manager know. The manager came over to let us know our food order never printed to the kitchen so it was going to be another 10 min before our food so she took care of our bill. We weren't even upset and didn't even notice it took longer - some places normally take that long. Regardless it was a great experience, great food, great service. We'll be back with all...
